Hi all,

Had 3 BFPs and a confirmation from the doctor who has said they will get in touch with the midwife who will then get in touch with me. Until that happens I need some reassurance/advice please! I've experienced cramps on the right side of my lower stomach which can be quite sharp and intense.. Nausea which is normal and VERY sore boobs :( but what's concerning me the most is the cramping.. There's no bleeding and I don't wanna go to A&E and waste their time for me being sillyHmm help please?

Cramping is normal, I promise. No need to go to A&E unless you are bleeding (red) blood

Cramping is very very normal. I had it in both of my pregnancies, and with ds2 it felt like period pains every four weeks throughout the pregnancy.

Thankyou Smile it's just worrying when I've never experienced pregnancy before! Can't wait till week 12.

Hello Smile

Firstly congratulations Flowers

I am 16 weeks pregnant and have had low down cramps on my left side intermittently throughout the pregnancy (the baby has been on the left in all three checks i have)

Cramps are completly normal, your womb is stretching out and the baby is attaching (there is a correct word for that but my silly brain has forgotten it)

They won't/can't really check you out this early as really there would be nothing to see. I don't say that to scare you, but at the moment they would only be a sack as the baby is so small. Is this your first pregnancy?

Your booking in process is starting now, you will probably see the midwife somewhere between 8 and 11 weeks, but every area is different. Then have a scan at 12 weeks ish. If you can't hold out till then you could pay for a private scan.

Good luck :)

Thanks CookieSmile yeah, this is my first pregnancy so I'm over-worrying about everything! The cramps vary as to where they are, either my left of my right side, never both and never in the middle.

I'm gonna hold out for the 12 week scan I think..unless anything changesSmile

Need to start eating properly though, I'm a terrible eater!

Think of how much stretching has to go on in there - some pains are normal! Try not to worry.

I found out at five weeks too, so worrying in some ways because as other posters say there's not much to see or hear but your body is definitely changing.

I had awful cramps and tenderness really early on. The result in snuggled between me and dh having a nap after waking me at 5:30 this morning and is 13 months old.

Congratulations. :)
