Will progesterone suppositories affect a pregnancy test?

currently 5 weeks preg. Had a MMC before, so gynae has given me progesterone suppositories for peace of mind.

I am doing the obsessive thing where you watch the clear blue digital go up from 2-3 weeks to 3+ and wondered if the progesterone would effect that result?

Sorry if I am being really dumb about the chemistry of pregnancy and progesterone is nothing to do with pregnancy results...

No they won't as the test only picks up the hcg hormone.
Congratulations thanksthanks

Had this chat with my specialist just at the start of this week. You won't get a false reading with the prog pessaries but the downside is you do get symptoms of pregnancy such as sore boobs.

Manda is right - it only picks up level of HCG.

just to add be careful with the clearblue tests, I got a false negative after a certain hcg level with my pregnancy - caused so much heartache thinking it had gone wrong when it hadn't. Progesterone can't interfere with any tests tho.
