Big for my dates

Hello everyone, I am new to this and not sure I am posting in the right place!
I am pregnant with my first baby and my bump has been big all the way through, people thought I was full term at 5 months!
Since my midwife started measuring, my bump has been bigger than the chart says I should be, I had a scan at 32 weeks to check for excess water, but the water was normal and the baby was the correct size, so no explaination for the big bump! I am 33 weeks and 6 days today and the midwife measured 3 times this morning to be extra sure, I'm now measuring 2 cms bigger than my chart expects me to be at 42 weeks! Also babies head is now touching the top of the cervix.
Midwife thinks its possible that baby may come a little earlier than 40 weeks, but as always no guarantees!
Has anyone else experienced big bumps for no reason? And did your babies come early? (Or is that wishful thinking on my part?)
It is all bump too, I am still in the same size clothing as before I was pregnant (apart from the bump bit!)
I appreciate you thoughts :)

Hi I wouldn't worry if you are only measuring 2cms more than you should be I think anything under 3 cms over is classed as normal I usually measure a couple of cms more than I should and there gas only been a reason with one but with her I was measuring 4 cms over. The midwives have never really been concerned about a couple if extra cms. Oh and sorry to disappoint but they've never come early either! :)

I have had 3 dc all measuring 2/3cm above normal, no excess fluid or gestational diabetes, all of my bumps were mahoosive :).None have arrived early, my lightest was 9lb my heaviest 10.9lb. As my consultant said "some women just grow big babies" he is right!!

Lordy by your message does that make you 9cm bigger than you shoud be? I have been 3cm bigger my whole way through but scanned for excess water and big baby ect but everything looked normal, I think if they have doe the scans then I would not worry, are you a small build as I am and one midwife thought it could be that. I measured big on my other two , but they were panned c-sections at 39 weeks so don't know if they would have been late, they measured 8lb 7oz and 8lb 4 oz so big fir 39 weeks

Thank you ladies.
Surprisethird - almost, I am currently measuring 7-8cm over what I should be now, which is 2cm more than I would be expected to be at 42 weeks.
My midwife said today she was reluctant to plot it on the graph as she didn't want to scare me!
I am hoping it doesn't go over as where I live they allow you to go over by 14 days, which would mean another 8 weeks of growing!! If I carry on at this rate I would measure at more than 50 weeks pregnant by then, not sure my tummy will stretch that far!! :)

Have you had a glucose tolerance test? A bump measuring over is not a diagnosis of a problem in itself, it just indicates the need for checks such as growth scans, fluid level scans and the GTT (for diabetes) to be done in case there is a problem. If those checks all come back clear it's just a naturally big baby or it's just the shape of your bump!

I was always 6 cm big until late pregnancy when bump dropped and I fell to only 2-3cm big. My growth scan was fine as well, but predicted a 90th centile baby. No GTT as baby bug but "normal"

I eventually had a 41+1 7.14 baby, so not early and not big!

Many people have asked me what else I was carrying up there after seeing my little boy.
