My period suggests it will be 21st october but my ovulation date suggests i could be due early october. i haven't had a scan yet.

did anyone else's due date change and if so by how much?

I think most people's dates change.

At my first gp appointment, they logged my date as 22nd June based on period dates. Using my ovulation date (I was charting bbt so fairly accurate) I was 27th June.

Early scan put me at 5th July. 12w scan put me at 2nd July. This is the date they are sticking with! But at my 20w scan they thought I might be a day or two earlier. But it's local policy to keep your 12w due date in my area.

Try not to worry too much. I was happy the hospitals date is later than I thought as at least it'll push back any possible induction date if I go overdue.

Yes, first time round based on LMP I was due 31 July but the scan changed it to 2 August. I went into labour on the second.

This time, based on LMP, it would have been 6 July but the scan has moved it forward to 4 July.

My periods vary in length, which explains it. LMP is a helpful date to use, but doesn't mean that everyone ovulates 14 days later (which calendars in pregnancy books go by).

Mine changed every time I had a scan! Only because I didn't have regular periods. But I knew exactly when conceived but hospital would only go by scan dates. I ended up being induced at 38+6 by their dates but by mine I was 40+5.
The dating scans are not 100% accurate and you get given an EDD (estimated due date) anything 37-42 weeks is counted as full term x

Period dates put me at 1st of June but scans have since dated me as 22nd of June, so quite a big jump!

Mine changed 3 days - 15th Sep back to 12th Sep on scan. Which means that I think I know the date of conception too! There were 2 likely culprits 3 days apart... probs the earlier of the 2 then!

Mine changed by 5 days. Lmp put my edd at 20th sept but my ov date gave me an edd of 19th sept. 12 week scan gave me edd of 15th sept. As I got a BFP at 9dpo, I'm guessing it must have implanted quickly and I'll go with the earlier date.

Mine did, LMP said 16th Dec, scan date said 9th Dec. DS arrived on the 15th Dec!

This time around LMP says 24th April, scan says 26th April....so we'll see in the next 6 weeks!

I had IVF so knew my dates exactly, but the hospital changed the EDD by a week based on the scan. Made no sense to me, but it didn't affect us at all.

LMP and scan were 4 weeks out! I went for scan thinking I was 12+4 and was actually 16+4 Blush

DS is now 3.5 weeks old and so glad I didn't have to wait the extra 4 weeks for him Smile

LMP said 24 Feb, scan said 15 Feb but as my cycle was around 24 days instead of 28 I said 19 Feb. And indeed he arrived at 1.30am on the 19th!

I had IVF so know the date of conception exactly. My dates haven't been changed but I'm 3 days behind the average by measurements, so I guess if it had been a natural conception they would have put me 3 days back.

with ds they stuck to the EDD, he was two weeks late mind you!

with dd they made a right bloody mess of my records, every single person I saw changed the date, she was due any time from mid october to bonfire night. oooh scanning big for dates, oooh GD, oooh last baby a giant, oooh no what are they thinking??

and with ds2 i don't remember! ..I just remember a huge fit of the giggles when the obstetrician booked me in for induction and delivery on the 12th

....the other two were born on the 12th of the month too :D

Yes only by a little, lmp dates put me at 2nd August but scan dated me at 29th July.
Not surprised because my cycle length changed pretty much every month so going on lmp was never going to be accurate.

Yes mine changed. Can't remember the original date based on LMP but based on ovulation/conception it was the 8th, scan date changed it to the 12th and baby was eventually born on the 21st so it's far from being an exact science!

I was monitoring my temps so I was fairly confident as to when I ovulated. My LMP put my due date as the 28th of May but by my dates I thought I would be due on the 30th of May. When I had my scan they put my due date back to the 30th of may.

12 day variation here...

According to my LMP date, my due date was 14th March. That got changed to 26th March after my scan.

I'm actually quite glad. I'm miserable enough going through the late stages without also thinking I'm overdue Grin

I was dated 22nd of august at early scan and at my 12 week it moved to 15th.

Your 12 week scan is your official dating scan and will be the one that you and the midwives work from x

LMP said 3rd May, 12wk scan said 9th May, my own guess of when I ovulated/conceived puts it at around 16th May. Then today I saw a different OB (not in UK) who said 8wk scan is more reliable for dating, which put me at 11th May. THEN she said I'm giving you a due date of 41wks anyway, so now it's 18th May. Confused much??? Hmm
