Does your morning sickness come and go?

My ms comes and goes with seemingly no rhyme or reason. I'm 9 + 2 now and I'm having a very sick day. It really freaks me out when it isn't as bad.... I guess I just want to know if anyone else is having or has had the same experience? It just seems so random.

I'm now 33 weeks and had morning sickness up until about 16 weeks, which then went, only to return the past weeks or so.

Not happy :(

Pink, some days are better than other, yes, thankfully. This is my 3rd pregnancy and never had MS beyond about 12 weeks with my other 2.

Hope you don't suffer too much.

Yes one bad day one good day. I'm hoping it's all going well. I've already had one mmc so I'm spending a lot of time analysing my symptoms. You can't really change any outcome - just have to try stay positive.

Mine come and go too (10+2). It's very similar to my first pg which ended in a missed mc. With my second pg, I had strong consistent symptoms everyday between 7 and 12 weeks. That pg resulted in DD.

I'm trying to think positively but really struggling.

I've had it since day one and I've only got 2 weeks left! Some women are just unlucky!

I had HG with both previous pregnancies, I'm now 7 weeks into this one and although I'm waking up nauseous I haven't yet been sick. I don't know if it's going to kick in any minute, but what I do know is that every day I'm not vomiting is a little victory! Some days have been better than others and flat Dr P and loads of ice have kept me feeling a bit better. I hope it eases for everything, it's bloody horrible and completely unnecessary!

I had none at all until about 9-10 weeks, had it 3 days in a row, then none for a week or so, then almost every morning until it stopped at exactly 13 weeks. None at all for 2 and a half weeks, been feeling really well....then it hit me again unexpectedly (whilst driving on a busy dual carriage way) one morning last week Sad no more for days then was sick again this morning.

So very up & down! And I can't pinpoint any things in particular that have triggered it!

Thanks for the replies. It can be pretty awful. I hate that feeling of knowing I'm about to be sick. I just find it weird that some days are so much better than others. I've been sick every day for about the past four weeks but sometimes it's just once a day and sometimes it's ten times a day! I'm only managing to keep down about 1000 calories a day - I know some people can't keep anything down so this probably isn't that bad but its bad enough to make me have dreams about food every night! I dream about pizza and chocolate brownies. I even had a dream about shopping in M&S food and eating all their delicious food.

Keepthechange - I know what you mean about not being able to pinpoint what triggers it. What I can happily eat one day makes me violently sick the next.

Stargirl - I also mc my first pregnancy which is why I'm analysing my symptoms so much now I think. I'm sure you'll be fine. Don't they say its only a problem if your symptoms go completely?

Missslack - you sound just like me!

Exquisitechristmas - I hope the HG stays away for you this time. My sister had it in her first pregnancy but in her current pregnancy (she's 19 weeks) has had none. Both babies are girls.

I know people who have has no symptoms and healthy preg and those with the worst ms and find out a mmc. Nothing is reassuring!

You could talk to your GP about anti emetics? Making a big difference for me.

Yep 15 weeks been on medication to manage it from very early on. Have good days and bad days. Good days only sick in evening, bad days all day :-( hard because at work I can look awful one day and fine the next. Just looking forward to hopefully having a sick free day soon- 18 weeks is what people keep saying to me at the moment!

I'm 17 weeks now and it's definitely easing off although some days I can be sick repeatedly for no apparent reason. I also agree that foods which are ok today may become the enemy tomorrow!

I'm 16 weeks and ended up dehydrated and in hospital ona drip in week 7 was ok but still very sick most days after week 10, had a full week with no sickness from 12 to 13 weeks then mild sickness morning and night for 2 weeks with the odd very bad spell then last few days have been awful again. Sad I'm sure that work (who have been great about it) think deep down I'm taking the piss as most days I'm in I look fine to them but am mega ill morning and night and days I work from home Sad I find it tends to get worse for me if I'm tired or stressed?

I go from one extreme to another. Most days I feel completely normal but when it hits me it hits me hard. I spent most of Sunday and Monday between the bedroom and toilet and couldn't keep anything down at all. On the other hand felt completely fine today and ate pretty much everything I could. I'm over 12 weeks now so hoping it will ease off completely soon.

pinkandwhite also totally agree that is much worse when tired which is often the weekend for me when I try and catch up from busy week-my poor dh!

MissYamabuki · 21/01/2014 19:23

Hi same here - some days worse than others, for no reason i can establish. It was the same with dd. yes, tiredness and lack of sleep are a massive factor. Hope it will pass soon for you - i think it's a good sign if you can bear to think of food or are indeed dreaming about it!

Mine's been very erratic - quick up-chuck first thing or a feeling like motion sickness all the live long day. I've convinced myself that it's affected by eating junk or the occasional cigarette I smoked in the first week after I had BFP. Don't know if it's true or not but it helped me stop smoking and gives me another reason to eat well.

I just wanted to update this now I'm 12 weeks pregnant - just in case any other worried women look at this thread in future - my morning sickness has been ok on some days and terrible on others but my 12 week scan showed a healthy baby. So, if you are having times when you feel a bit better, you don't need to panic like I did.
