I really didn't want DC2 to have a Christmas Day birthday so I'm pleased I made it through the day without a baby appearing. However, now that Christmas is (almost) over, baby can come any time it likes.

Hurry up baby!

5 days over due here, I'm just so glad to have made it through the day without going into labour. Knackered now though and back to welcoming the new arrival ASAP.

Another one here, was due on Christmas Eve. It was a bit sad feeling like I just wanted to get through the day as DS is nearly 3 and loved it. However my in-laws did the dinner and it was fab and I was waited on while there so I really can't complain too much.

I know just how you feel. DS was due on the 19th. DH went back to work on Christmas Day and I had lunch with my Doula and her family. DS was forcibly evicted on the 27th.

I've been very lucky as I've got off lightly on symptoms for most of this pregnancy, but I now have swollen ankles, back ache, constant Braxton Hicks, heartburn and insomnia. Everyone is being very kind and lovely and making me rest lots but I can't get comfortable and just feel so fed up.

I've got 3wks left so not even close. DH made me cry this morning by saying nothing at all, but naturally I took it the wrong way.

Feel like I need a big movement bowelwise too.

DD is being very clingy, I think she must know she about to be sidelined by 10 tiny toes.

We still have 2 guest staying, all gone tomorrow. Can't wait to have our house back, PJ is needed! Grin

Not been waited on hand and foot. Cooked a huge meal for all the inlaws and nodded and smiled as my insufferable MIL was as unpleasant as possible to everyone but me (one good thing about clear boundaries with her: she no longer dares. Her poor ex-husband still meekly takes it and his partner went for a long walk to escape the needling). Still, DS loved it all and he too is being clingy and difficult most days, as his only-child status draws ever nearer the end....

TGI no longer Xmas, I agree. I needed to stay in bed until noon this morning for the SPD to die down enough to walk again - was in so much pain last night.

I'm 36+4 and being induced at 38 weeks as diabetic. Up until 3days ago I was determined they weren't doing it before the new year, now however I want this baby out and I want it out now! I'm exhausted, have never missed alcohol as much as I have in the last few days and can hardly move. Have hospital tomorrow to get my date to be induced and really hoping they'll say they want to do it in the next 48hours as baby was measuring pretty big at last scan (well over 7lbs estimated weight)

Im only 29 weeks with dc 3 so ive got a way to go yet but i still found yesterday very exhausting, i dont know how you very heavily pregnant ladies managed.

Anyway thought it might make some of you feel better (that you made it through the day) to hear about my friend who had her dd yesterday. She was due 5 days ago but everyone kept saying she would end up with a christmas baby and she did!

I suppose if it had been dc1 it wouldnt have been too bad but she has a 3 year old dd and 10 year old ds so she missed out on the day with them. I personally wouldnt want to be in labour most of christmas day, and she delivered not long before midnight.

Hope all of you who are due or over due get to meet your little one's soon now that the big day is over with! :-)

I can't see me ever having another MrsDV but if I do DH isn't getting anywhere near me between the months of February and April Smile

The good thing about being due at Christmas is that my house is mostly clean and tidy, I've got enough chocolate to sink a ship, my bags are packed, and all I have to do is shag DH try and encourage baby to come out.

Oh that's a shame about your friend missing Christmas with her older DCs peacenquiet2 but lovely that she got to meet her newest little bundle Smile It's made me remember the reason I'm feeling this way so thank you for that Flowers
