Ok I might be a bit if a drama queen BUT I'm 31 + 3 with DC2. (DS1 is 7 1/2) it's SOOOOOO much harder this time around. I'm genuinely shattered. I feel heavier than last time. No energy. Out of breath.

I'm still working (finish at 36 weeks) but I worked this at on the first time.

I am really struggling Confused

How can so many woman have 15+ babies????? I doth my hat Wink

100% with you! Luckily my boss told me early on that there was a marked difference between baby one and two (or subsequent babies) and recommended I finish at 34 weeks as my job is high pressured and can be long hours. I've been off for a week and on the whole feel much better, although being home with DD more is exhausting in its own way!

Speaking off which, time to have a lie down whilst DD and DH have some quality father/daughter time!!!

Haha I don't blame you at all.

I wish someone told me, however people have commented now.

I can't afford to finish earlier Confused I wish I could but NYE will be my last shift for 4 1/2 months so hopefully I'll chill out a bit then

Even the stairs are a challenge (sob sob)

I remember that bone-shattering exhaustion with DS2 Sad. I honestly don't know how I coped. Didn't get it at all with DS3, though - literally bounced through that pregnancy nightmare baby though, nearly broke me

This time round I am tired, but that's more broken sleep due to DS3's... interesting, shall we say?, sleeping habits. IME each pregnancy is different and tiredness levels aren't necessarily connected to the number of children. Good luck, though Smile

Same here as sleepthief, I was so tired with DS2 I had never experienced tiredness like it. Now pregnant with DC3 I've got much more energy, my SPD is so much better too, which is just weird.

Looking forward to maternity leave though at 36 weeks - it really can't come soon enough!

Hope the rest of your pregnancy is restful for you OP and the weeks at work fly by!

I agree, I'm 35 weeks with DC2 and I am shattered. I'd hoped to have three kids but I could never do this again. I just want to lie down all the time - which isn't possible with a two and a half year old.

I'm with you on that one ! I'm 33 weeks and finding it so much harder even though dd is 4 and at school in the day , as soon as she is home shattered after a hour !

Also feel a lot more in pain/achy than with my dd and I'm only 25 yet I feel about 50, takes me forever to get off the sofa due to back pain Hmm

This thread has made me feel better! I'm only 26 weeks with dc2 but I feel as low in energy as I did at the very end of my first pregnancy. 2pm everyday is like someone has pulled the plug! I think having a toddler without being pregnant would be exhausting but had no idea how shattered I would feel and so early on!

I'm broken. 20 weeks, 20 month dd, feel like a physical wreck.
Last pregnancy was a piece of cake. Worked, traveled, felt fine, slept brilliantly.
This time I'm in pain, still have nausea, can't sleep well, feel hugely fat, tired and over emotional.
I can't wait for this to end.

To add to my misery tough time I'm full of the cold despite having a jab (I know in just moaning) and I'm now sleeping on the sofa upright as it seems the only place I can stay comfy for more than 5 mins ConfusedConfused

53 days to go. Can't wait for this to be done now. DH will be getting the snip!! Grin

I'm so glad it's not just me. I'm only 15 weeks with no.2. Ds is 19 mths. I have had enough, sciatica, sore joints, exhaustion, moody, very emotional, and a lot bigger than last time at this point. Roll on the end of may! At this point last time, I was still doing gym classes every day, then walking the dog. I'm still walking the dog, but that's about it.

Im 33 weeks with DC2 and have a 3yo DS. So far (despite some terrible family trauma recently) this pregnancy has been so much easier than I thought it would be. I am not sleeping well (back/leg pains and BH) and I'm very breathless. But I was expecting it to be a lot harder than this.

However, as the days go by and I get bigger and less comfortable I am really starting to look forward to not being pregnant!!!
