Washing powder for baby

Just a quick question, what did/do you use on babies clothes. Didn't know whether I should use person non bio on something else???

I would tend to go for a less highly scented non bio like Ecover.

I have been using Ecover for a while now,but bought some non bio persil as it was on a really good offer,and I am finding it smells so strong !

If not,perhaps Fairy?

We use tesco's own non bio (and ecover at my dad's and pil's). My skin reacts to persil and fairy.

What is the difference between bio and non- bio?

Bio has enzymes in (I think...)

Bio has chemicals (surfactants) which remove stains from clothes, non-bio doesn't so doesn't remove stains from clothes.

I use Aerial bio like the rest of the family, only less for babies clothes.

Bio has biological cleaning agents, non-bio has man made (as I understand it).

Non bio all the way in our house. Bio also stays in the washing machine so if anyone else uses it it can irritate sensitive skin I get horrible eczema from it so don't let anyone use bio in my washing machine.

Yep non bio person in our house and will do when baby arrives. Sometimes give my clothes a boost with a nice fresh fabric conditioner but I have just found the lushest dermatological lot tested fabric conditioner that comfort do and it has jojoba scent and something else but is suitable for kids skin and a bit bottle for £2 at the moment in asda!!!

Have always used fairy non bio for dd clothes and still do now I love the smell as it reminds me of her

We use persil bio but have bought fairy non-bio for cloth nappies. Will prob use it for everything once baby comes!

I learned from MN that the UK is one of the only countries to even sell non-bio washing products.

I've been using Persil non-bio for all baby stuff, but I probably won't keep it up for long. The baby clothes will soon just get chucked in the machine with everything else.
