When did your hands get too fat for rings?!

I'm nearly 23 weeks and I'm starting to think my wedding ring is getting a bit tight. This feels a bit early to have fat hands, but then I'm hot ALL the time so I wonder if that is making them swell a bit. I can still pull them off, but they are much tighter than they were before

I'm sure with DS I only took them off at the very end. When did you find you needed to take them off? I feel a bit naked without mine so I really want to resist it until the last moment but would be mortified if they had to be cut off!

I'm nearly 37 weeks and mine are still fine. I did have fat fingers anyway though!! Grin

My fingers swell very easily when I'm hot though so that might be what's causing yours.

My wedding ring has been feeling tighter for a few weeks now. I think I'm getting to the point where I'm going to have to stop wearing it now at 33 weeks :( !!

I had to take my rings off really early, about 12 weeks because my hands have been swelling up the whole way through my pregnancy. I'm getting married on the 5th of November and had to get my wedding ring two sizes bigger than usual.

My engagement ring has had to come off already (16weeks) my wedding ring is a size larger so should be fine for a couple of months. I get really fat fingers, saying that I get really fat fullstop :)

37 weeks and my rings are falling off!

My theory is all my weight has gone to my thighs. :(

About 23 weeks. I have brought a cheap fake one in a bigger size to wear. I'm now 25+4 and can just squeeze my engagement ring on.

Didn't have this problem last time, but that's because we weren't engaged then Smile

I can't remember when my fingers got too fat, but with both my pregnancies I wore my rings on a plain silver chain that had a good, secure clasp, which was something I'd copied from a friend of mine.

(We had a French au pair when I was pregnant the second time and she asked me if it was an English tradition to do it!)

Really early on probably about 11 weeks although I don't think the hot weather helped.

Mine had been tight for a while but I refused to take it off until yesterday when it was hurting my fingers because they were so tight! I am 35 weeks. X

35 weeks, but on reflection I should have taken them off earlier - took two of us and several attempts to get them over the knuckle in the end...

Thanks ladies! I'm going to keep them on a bit longer as I can still tug them off without the need for cold water or oil but will keep an eye on it! I remember being so excited kelly1814 when I could put them back on after my son was born - husband thought I was bonkers!

Last time I didn't take them off at all and then realised towards the end that I couldn't get my wedding ring off and hated the feeling that it was stuck so this time I took my wedding ring off almost as soon as I got pregnant just to be sure! Engagement ring is not as tight and can still come off now at 40 weeks.

All my weight has gone onto my arse. I look like a snowman with twiggy fingers!

32 weeks - and that surprised me I thought id have longer! It was more the fear that I would swell and not get them off, than the fact that I couldn't get them off any more.
