After 3 tests i accepted that we are having a baby.
It's still the early stages but i don't know what the hell is going on.
I haven't had any symptoms.. No sickness, breasts feel fine, i don't feel pregnant and have to wait another 6 weeks for my scan, i am going off my head.
I have put a stone on and bloated up around my belly.

Anyone at the same stage as me care to chat and discuss whats normal at this stage :)

Hi there- I'm also 6 weeks and have belonging, cramping and larger breasts (though not painful) and little else. I'm going private so have first scan at 8 weeks. Think its a little early to get morning sickness etc. good luck :-)

I'm 6 wks and 4 days and all I've had are period like cramps, sore breasts on and off and I've started feeling slightly queasy the past couple of days.. I don't want to wish MS on myself but it would be nice to 'feel' pregnant. Am worried I will get to the scan and there will be nothing there :(

Yeaaah this is the same as me!! I actually had tender breasts a good few weeks ago but it was for like a day and i never thought anything off it.
The only thing thats sore is my back... I feel quite worried and scared, but i suppose everyone is different aren't they?
Keep me updated though Smile

I'm also due next June - very excited! Apart from sore boobs and getting tired I feel totally fine and am counting myself lucky hoping I don't get too sick. Midwife appointment booked for 1st week in November...

Congrats to you all! I'm really excited. Grin I'm 6 weeks, 5 days now. My chest is huge and really painful, gone up 2 cup sizes already. D to an F! Confused I'm also incredibly tired and my skin has gotten quite sensitive and itchy??? It'll be worth it though.

Went to Docs two weeks ago and no word yet about MW or any scans etc yet.

Hi all,
Congratulations all around!
I've been a bit of a lurker on this site since me & DH started TTC back in April/ May. So I've had a postive test yesterday and another this morn, and we are bouncing around but trying our best to rein it in "just in case". Going to buy a couple of tests in another brand this afternoon. I think I just wanted to do a little celebratory "yay!" and tell someone!
Question though please - when did you call for a doctor appointment?

junebaby2014 · 18/10/2013 22:03

Great news congrats all again :)

I found out last tuesday and i phoned the doctor the same day, and i had a doctors app on that thursday!
But nothing from MW yet......

I really wanna know when my scan date is!! I'm 6 weeks 4 days today Smile

Hi All! I will be 6 weeks tomorrow. I have had NO pregnancy symptoms at all. (Late week 4, early week 5, I had a little bloating.) I starting spotting yesterday and throughout today. I am having a dull lower back pain and cramping. My next appointment is not until Oct. 29. Any ideas? Is it an impending miscarriage? I am 40; will be 41 in a few weeks. Second pregnancy - first ended with MC about 10 years ago.

Clarks31: I called my doctor the day I found out. She saw me the next morning. However, I am an extreme worrier and wanted confirmation! Congratulations and best wishes to you!

Gretchen:
Congrats, i think this is normal. I have had serious back pain lower back at tip of my spine the last 3 nights now.
And cramps etc and bloating but nothing else, so this sounds normal.

Keep us update with all your progresses

Hi ladies Smile

I'm 6+5 today.. This is my first pregnancy.

I have had very tender breasts.... and rock hard nipples.... for a couple of weeks Grin

This week the morning sickness kicked in and I can't even contemplate getting out of bed until DH has brought me a piece of dry toast to eat first! Feeling sick and queasy mostly in the mornings but on and off all day.

My booking appt is on Wednesday at 1pm and my scan is on 20th November (32 days to go.... Not that I'm counting or anything! Wink)

Hiya :)

I'm 6 weeks today. Only symptom so far is my boobs feel huge and heavy. Still not totally convinced it's happening but 5 tests can't be wrong :)
Booking appointment not for another 3 weeks and no idea about scans...

Thanks for the replies ladies, I'll give them a call in the morning. I'm on a couple of medications for asthma & allergies so just want to check I'm ok to continue taking them, as well as getting the ball rolling with appointments.

My symptoms so far have been pretty much like PMS - irritable, sore & heavy boobs, cramps. Tummy is quite bloated & has been for about a week now, bloating usually only lasts a day or 2 & I've been eating well so it's not like me at all. It's a similar feeling to when you've eaten a massive meal! Hoping this eases off as my jeans are already feeling tight! Might have to use the hair bobble trick I've learnt about on these forums to give me a little breathing room! I've felt a bit sickly & shaky, but I think that might be partly due the shock and excitement of the positive tests, ha! Managed to hide not drinking at a 30th birthday last night by just ordering lime & soda- everyone just assumed I was on vodka without me having to lie outright, me & DH made sure to get order in whenever we spotted no one else was at the bar & avoided getting into rounds.

When are you announcing the news? Have you told anyone yet? We're a bit frightened at the moment, just don't want to get too carried away & it's still very early days after all. But I'm just bubbling over with excitement. Might tell our parents in the next week or so, just to give them a heads up. My mum will be unbearable - she's been dying for grandchildren for years as as I'm an only child . . . she will be buying a pram before the month is out! And SIL suffered a number of MCs before having our beautiful niece and nephew & MIL is quite superstitious so concerned we will worry her by telling her too early. I also quite like it being mine & DHs little secret for now. Jesus, it's a minefield!

Hi all! Another 6 week-er checking in! Hope everyone is doing well? I've got first midwife appointment tomorrow to check-in. I have to admit to being a total worry wart. First pregnancy didn't know I was pregnant until 12 weeks (very unexpected!) so this uncertain stage is all new to me.

Carks I've told a few friends already. I thought I might as well tell the people I would turn to for support if things did go wrong. Definitely holding off on telling the in-laws for a while! And my office is having a restructure at the moment, so will have to try and keep things quiet... hopefully won't be puking my guts out in the work loos!

6w tomorrow...

Feeling dreadful for over a week now, nausea and tiredness. But I always get terrible morning sickness (all day and night). This is my 3rd pregnancy, I have one dd aged 4.
Very very worried as I had a mc in Jan at 11 weeks. So I haven't made any GP/MW appointments yet as that might tempt fate! Anyway they don't do anything at this early stage really.
Will probably go for an early scan though at 8w.

Aiming not to tell anyone (apart from one or two close friends that I have had to tell) until Christmas, but that's just because of what happened in Jan. Normally I wouldn't be able to keep quiet ;)

Needing advice:
Today is the sixth day of spotting for me. This morning, I woke up with cramps and back pain. I had dark pink spotting after going to the bathroom. I also have a terrible headache (since yesterday evening). My scan/appointment is not until next Tuesday. I am sure that if I call, I will be told to call them back if it gets heavier. I am 6 weeks, 3 days. Still no pregnancy symptoms, excepy for slightly tender nipples. Honest opinions/advice?

moobaloo · 22/10/2013 16:54

Gretchen Spotting very is common in early pregnancy, but I would always call if you are worried. Maybe they can bring your appointment forward?

Drink plenty of water too, might help the headache? I got so dehydrated without realising in week 6 as had only just found out I was pg and didn't realise how much water I would need to drink!

Good luck all!

Thanks for the reply Moobaloo. I just drank more and will continue to do so throughout the day. I was SUPER thirsty for about two weeks (maybe weeks 4-5) and haven't been very thirsty this week. One main reason that I do not want to call the doctor is that my husband is out of town this week and we do not have any family close by(about 2 hours away). I guess what I am saying is that if it is bad news, I do not want to be alone. Any other advice that you can offer is much appreciated. I am SO happy that I found mumsnet.

Hope you guys don't mind me joining in, as I'm only 5 weeks on. We had been TTC over 2 years and still getting used to the idea it has finally happened!! Although the nausea, bloating, sore boobs, and constant peeing do serve as a reminder!

On another note, struggling to decide when to tell. Don't want people to get too excited then to MC. Although, if I did MC I'd be likely to tell close family and friends anyway.... Hmmm...

Doctor appt next Weds, am wondering if I will get an early scan due to TTC a long time and having pcos?

Good luck all, glad I found this thread! :-)
