Did anyone get a super faint bfp at 11dpo and go onto a successful pregnancy????

After two previous chemical pregnancies I am very worried that this will go the same way.

I'm 11 dpo today and got the worlds faintest bfp on first response. The line s pink and appeared within the three minutes, so it s not an evaporation line.

Have I any chance?

Me. My line was so faint dh couldn't see it. Yours will get darker as the hcg levels rise around 15 dpo. Congratulations

Is your concern that your bfp is too early, or too faint?

I didn't get even the faintest line until 13dpo. And now he's a great honking toddler.

I'm just worried that it is so faint it will end p as a chemical. Mine is so faint it can barely be seen.

I had a very very faint line at 10dpo, the sort you can only see if you squint and stand one-legged in the sunlight. She is a healthy 4 month old now. Are you absolutely sure of your ovulation date? It can depend on lots of things such as what time of day you took the test, how much you had drank etc. A line is a line. Congratulations.

I'm pretty certain if my ovulation date. I used my third urine of the day do maybe that has an effect also. It is definitely one you an only see at certain angles in certain light. If I could just fast forward.

Currently 27+1 and my test was really really faint to the point I thought I was seeing things. Also just coz you r certain of ovulation date doesn't mean conception was same time it could of been later, congratulations and good luck x

Me, and my lines didnt get darker for ages. In fact they got lighter. It depends on brand, ink etc. I just about drove myself batty (had had m/c and then chemicals too).

Christ it's stressful Flowers so I feel for you. Chances are, all will be well.

The best thing you can try to do is relax as much as possible. Good luck x

With very regular cycles and using CB ovulation sticks, I got no line at all (even with one-legged, sunlit squinting) on a FR pregnancy test on day 28 after ovulation indicated on day 16 - got a clear positive on a Boots cheapie six days later though.

Good luck!

Have you a pound shop nearby? You can buy ten for a tenner and have all the POAS fun you want Smile

The faintness of the line tells you nothing about the viability of the pregnancy. There are so many other factors at play like the strength of the tests, hcg concentration, dilution of urine, differences between tests (even of the same brand) and many more, that a faint line is just a faint line and all you can say for sure is that atm, you are pregnant.

I know how hard it is. Early and sensitive testing does pick up these chemical pregnancies when once upon a time we wouldn't have known about them. It is quite reassuring though to know that they believe that up to half of all cycles when ttc will result in chemical pregnancy. It's common. Which in one way is horrid but you also know that it's not necessarily indicative of a problem with you but an advance in science which allows us to pick them up on early tests.

I have had two successful pregnancies (along with a couple of CPs and early miscarriages) and both times I had a v faint line from around 9dpo which got darker over time.

I used to use the 15 for £1.50 tests or something like that from ebay. Poundshop is similarly good, you can get a few for £1.

I didn't even get a faint line until 14dpo - I'm now 16 weeks pregnant and all is going well. Try and stay positive and congratulations x x

I had an 11dpo faint BFP and it did end in a chemical. However the second I saw that line I went out and researched myself stupid, and there are PLENTY of happy endings for 11dpo squinters! Even if, like me, you usually get a BFP at 9dpo or earlier. Sometimes it seems a late one does sneak through and goes to term Smile

My GP (who has seen me through three years of unexplained infertility, a 6w mc, a 15w mmc, and two successful pregnancies) told me once that all the colour/darkness of the line tells you in how much dye is in that particular test.

All of my pregnancies have been faint lines, even my current - fifth - pregnancy and I'm 22w.

I know it's hard when you've had losses and I've spent the last 22w compulsively knicker-checking because the fear doesn't go away but right now there is nothing you can/cannot do that will change the outcome.

My 10 and 11 dpo so-pale-I-might-be-imaging-it line is now 10 months. I did a pregnancy test every day (sometimes twice) for weeks! I had a bag of 100 cheap tests from amazon and kept going till they were gone. I labelled them and stuck them on a card, they got darker for about a week then stayed the same.

Yes I'm currently 33 weeks. Looked like an evap line. Then the next day it was the faintest pink line and they gradually got darker and darker. Fingers crossed for you.

I got another bfp this morning and it was a teeny bit darker. I am still so nervous as it is such early days.

I didn't even get a line at all at 11dpo and convinced myself it was game over for that month, then when AF didn't show did a test again (around 15dpo) and there it was - went on to have successful pregnancy and LO now asleep upstairs.

Sometimes there just isn't enough HCG at 11 days to show

hCG levels and gender of the fetus

I wonder if the late BFPs had/have boys?

Report
Bearfrills · 14/10/2013 11:38

One of my late BFPs was a girl. Got pregnant 5th December (later backed up by scan dates) and by 12th December I 'knew' I was pregnant, couldn't shake the feeling. Finally got a faint as faint can be BFP on New Years Eve - 26dpo (if I've counted right?) yet every other test I did that month, including one on the 15th December, 20th December and 27th December, was negative.

She's two now :o
