JustGender scan by BabyBond is from 16 weeks and is about £50. I am saving he pennies so being patient butif I get paid might crack and find out next week good luck! I asked at 13.6 and she guessed girl. I would LOVE a daughter. I wold be happy with a boy too, particularly because DP would love it, but really, a girl would be awesome.

Me, i actually have one of each but still hoping deep down that this ones a girl. Im 16 weeks tomorrow and have a private gender scan booked for 40 quid.

I know at this stage its not always possible to tell but i get to go back a week or two after if not for free! Had it been costing more than that i would have had to wait until 25th oct.

Good luck for those wanting little ladies x

For the ladies who are worried about awkward bubs, with dc1, my dd, she crossed her legs firmly at both 20 and 21 week scans ( had to go back due to her awkwardness) so i never did find out from them scans. I went private at 28 weeks and finally found out! So its defo worth having a back up plan just in case.

Just had our 20 week scan today and found out it's a girl. I thought I wanted a boy as we already have a girl but when I saw her little face I just thought 'of course' and I love her so immensely already I couldn't care less what gender she is. I am so excited.
I hope everyone else's scans go well, it's such an amazing experience (sorry, I'm a bit gushy, I blame the hormones)

Did they give you a glimpse in 3/4d or was it the standard scan?

We've got 2 boys already and scan is on 8th November. I was debating about not finding out this time but I just can't wait! I can't say I'm not kind of hoping for a girl this time but mainly for the novelty factor of buying girls clothes etc. Ultimately I know I just want another child and would be thrilled to find out were having another boy.

We had a gender scan with ds2 and I found the whole experience a little under whelming. I guess it really didn't matter to me as much as I thought it would so paying £80 for the sole purpose of finding out the gender just felt like a waste. Plus they were running late so were rushing to find out. Also she made the comment of 'maybe you'll get lucky and get a girl next time' - we've just found out and already someone is disappointed for us!

I agree with preparing yourself for baby being in an awkward position and not being able to find out to avoid being disappointed.

They did it in standard and in 3d/4d it was really good she told me the sex almost straight away. Whens your scan? Good luck :)

Brilliant jessandalfie, i was hoping for a peak in 3d. What did the baby look like as ive read mixed reviews. With dc1/2 i had the 3d scan much later so they were chubby looking. My scan is at 1.30 this avo, thanks.

The cake, that doesnt sound like a great experience, being rushed and then the negative comments were just wrong. Im the same though about not being able to wait to find out, my dp actually wants to not do this time so i hav'nt told him about todays scan. Im taking my mum, and i plan to keep it quiet then at the 20 week scan i will agree to 'not' find out. Good job im very good at keeping secrets :-).
