Can't wait for mat leave - anyone else?

I finish for maternity leave this Fri at 31+3 so only 3 days to work but it really can't come soon enough!!

Work left it really late to sort cover and appointed someone who to be honest isn't great so I've been working my socks off trying to train them and organise support for when I'm gone. Still don't feel good about it but figure I've done all I can.

I keep getting dizzy spells due to low blood pressure and I'm soooo tired it's untrue!

Plus I want to get on with my maternity leave 'to do' list and not think about work Smile

So I'm on countdown to Friday Smile

Anyone else counting down? X

I have a few months left to wait for my MAT leave to start and I am already quietly planning how I will spend my time Grin

I've been on countdown for ages too! I'm a teacher so the summer holidays were like a mini maternity leave and so when September began I really didn't want to go back.

I have 27 more teaching days left and they can't go fast enough!

I finish at 37+3, I'm 35 now and still haven't packed a bag or bought any baby stuff.

It's number 2 so most of the things I need are in the loft or need to be dropped off by friends returning things they've borrowed. Plenty of time yet.... Hmm

God I wish I'd finished at 31 weeks. Don't finish until 35 weeks and I'm shattered. Felt pressure to keep going as some people work up to 38 weeks then trot off happily to give birth. I feel like a lumbering hormonal sloth with no energy. In my defence I have two Dc, a husband who works 6-7 days a week and a tiring active job. So yes, CAN'T wait to finish!! Enjoy OP! I should have done what you have!

Finished today - hurray Smile
Am 34+5 and am now taking my saved up annual leave before ML starts at 37w
Had some lovely pressies & flowers & cake, all very unexpected because everyone was so generous when I went off for DS 2y ago that I thought they might feel I'd had my share!

Finishing next week at 34 weeks. Was originally going at 36 weeks but brought forward and am so glad I did as I am rather large. My five foot two frame is struggling supporting this rather large baby and my job is very physically demanding. So excited about me time, aquanatal, nesting and generally filling my diary with lunch and coffe dates with friends. Mostly exited about not hauling myself out of bed at 6:30 every morning and not being too tired to cook proper food For tea again. Been so tired this last couple of weeks and just been making quick, easy rubbish food which isn't like me at all.

I'm another who can't wait - we've worked out who will cover my role and I feel like a spare part already. But am only 21 weeks, so have weeks and weeks to get through first.

I have 11 weeks left before I start mine and I genuninely feel like a kid waitinf its birthday, or christmas! I am sure It will fly by, but does seem like an age away.

Plus, I have been in hospital for a couple of days due to a bleed (all is fine and I hope to go home today) but I have been surrounded by the most beautiful little beings and their very proud mummies which made me feel very excited. AND I had another scan to see everything was ticketyboo and got to see my own baby in so much detail as it is getting so big, i nearly cried. It is a perfect little thing who I can't wait to meet. So now my maternity leave seems even further away.

I am 26+6

Good to know I'm not the only one on countdown! 3 days left Smile

Hyperhelpmum I originally planned to work to 36 weeks as lots of people at my place have worked to 38/39 weeks but in the end brought it forward due to feeling rubbish.

pegster Enjoy your leave now you have finished Smile

seriousstuff Shock I'll keep fingers crossed your baby puts in an early appearance!

I'm finishing up on 11 October at 35+5. Only 9 actual working days left but gawd it still seems so far away!! Can't wait to get on with my nesting, we have done most of the big things so my time will be spent scrubbing my house clean and spending a bit of quality time with my DD - can't wait!!

worked up until 37 weeks last time.
This time I will work until about 32 weeks! I didn't realise how hard my job would be the larger I got!

I finish on the 18th October and will be 34 weeks. I can't wait! I don't' have a demanding job but am so tired and look full term, in my defence I'm carrying twins [grins] who already weigh a combined weight of 7lbs. I just want these next 3 1/2 weeks to fly by please! Then I can get on with all the important stuff like sleeping

Me but I've got 12 weeks till official maternity leave starts when i'll be 38 weeks but I've got enough AL that I'll actually finish November 29th, at 36 weeks. I had 9 weeks off over summer with a broken wrist and chipped spine (i have to drive for work and couldn't with a cast) so dreaded going back 2 weeks ago, Its all been fine but I miss my proper job role, and cant wait for mat leave.

17 weeks left to go, sob. I'm starting leave at 38 weeks, but I might take the weeks before as annual leave

I'm starting mat leave in 13 weeks, on the Friday and due on the Monday - this sounds a bit crazy now hearing when everyone else is finishing. First pregnancy so maybe I've under estimated how tough it will be towards the end?!

My last day tomorrow as well. :)

37+3 today and so tired. Can't wait to be done and start being able to concentrate on baby stuff.

Hope that time flies by for everyone who still has a long time to go.

Finish in 8 weeks when I'll be 33 weeks pregnant - though I have next week off so technically I finish in 7! Literally can not wait!
