Hi,

Very new to this!

I am currently 5 weeks and one day pregnant, I have no morning sickness and period like pains now and then, very worried as I had a missed misscarrige 2 months ago, had morning sickness with first child and had a healthy pregnancy.

Is there something wrong?Sad

Totally normal.

You are very, very early on. Don't worry about lack of morning sickness. I am 15wks today and I haven't had it yet!

Stay away from google and enjoy your pregnancy.

Congrats Thanks

Hi Sam,

Pregnancies can be so varied!

I had 2 episodes of unexplained bleeding during my early stages and needed emergency scans and I also didn't have any sickness until I was 10.5 weeks pregnant and even then it only lasted 4 days and I've had nothing since. However, all is fine. I had my 12 week scan yesterday and there is one very happy and active baby! Smile

I know it's easier said than done but try not to worry x x

That all sounds very normal.
Remember, the list of 'things you should be experiencing', like morning sickness, are very generalised. Of course a whole population of women is not going to experience exactly the same symptoms :)
FWIW, I had exactly the same as you. I expected to maybe develop ms around week 6-8, but it's not materialised - now 17 weeks.

It's tough, being pregnant again after a loss. Been in that situation on too many occasions myself.

If you've not had morning sickness, I wouldn't be concerned. If you've been feeling sick, and it's stopped then yes I'd be a little worried but sadly, there's not anything we can do in that situation - it's a waiting game Sad.

The pains, I really would not be worried about - I had much more of that in my successful pregs, than the unsuccessful - I think the period like pain is a cramping triggered by the placenta invading the uterine wall... Which is a good thing Smile.

I hope it all works out ok.

Samantha, I'm a week behind you and having the cramps too. It's just the uterus stretching to accommodate the growing baby.to me, it feels like a slight pulling/burning sensation (strange analogy, but like a Chinese burn does.)

I had a MC last year and nervous too. So long as theirs no major cramping and clots, I was told (last time) not to worry. Congratulations Thanks

Hello Samantha. Just wanted to let you know that you not alone in having no nausea. I am 5 weeks pregnant today and not an ounce of sick ness so far. Period like cramps every now and then and slightly sore breasts is all I have by way of symptoms. Google is not a friend, but hard to stay away from at the same time.

Congrats ladies.
I am 23+6 with my first and had no sickness until almost 8 weeks and it lasted until 16 weeks. Wish I hadn't had a it all. Just felt nauseous all the time.
I had loads of cramps and pains at the start and even had some brown discharge at 8 and 12 weeks (brown is old blood so is normally ok)
Everything seems to be going well now tho so try not to worry yourselves and def stay away from Google.

Check out the antenatal boards for a group with your due date month. They are amazing with so much support from people at exactly the same stage as you.

I had morning sickness during 7 weeks, stopped at 8! I also have sore boobs, urination and stuffy nose. I've sneezed constantly since getting preggers - gestational rhinitis it's called.

I have also had aching and cramping since Friday with some blood but scans show it's all normal.

Try to relax and enjoy the fact you are not constantly puking ;)

Congratulations and enjoy :)

Just come back from the hospital, had a scan and internal scan, supposed to be 5 weeks + 5 days but they only saw a 5 millimetre sac, from my LMP I'm supposed to be 5 weeks and 5 days.. Should I be worried?..
