Found out I am pregnant with DC3 today, have DD1 aged 3 and DD2 aged 2.

Planned for, but still in shock. And very early so I can't tell anyone yet!

Just wondering if anyone else is in a similar position?

I am flummoxed, and yet you would think I had got the hang of it by now wouldn't you Grin

Hi congratulation. It's super exciting isn't it? Smile im on dc3 too although i had a mmc before this so up to 20wks it's been a bit nervracking. Ds1 3 and ds2 1 yo. Found out we r having another boy and im so excited and can't wait to meet him and see what he is like. 11 weeks left i can't say im not looking forward to preschool to be back on Smile

BreasticlesNTesticles · 25/08/2013 20:16

Thanks both!

How many weeks are you Blackholes?

No sickness yet working, I have literally just found out at four weeks and it took until about 6 for it to kick in last time.

I thought I was brave but I'll have bigger gap that you guys! DD1 nearly 4 so starts school September, phew! Now just to find a way to make the toddler give me a rest... Smile

Firstly congrats on your bfp!

I'm now 10wks with dc3, I think we must be mad but in a good way. Eldest is ds1 is nearly 4 and ds2 is 2 so we'll be doubling our previous 18month age gap - I think the 18 month gap left us to traumatised but then ds2 has always been a handful!

I'm starting to get excited but I doubt it'll really sink in until the dating scan as I always worry until I see the little heartbeat flickering away. Congrats to everyone else too!

So much in common! I lost two babies before conceiving this one- two early miscarriages. Today would have been the first edd. However, I'm feeling lucky to be pregnant again and really starting to think this one is meant to be. Was a bag of nerves up until 20 week scan though.

Do you both work? I'm a teacher, only part time but DREADING going back as I've enjoyed my summer so much, and really started to settle into the role of temporary SAHM!

Yes thecake that will be the same gap as us! Must be easier right?!

I work 3 days a week, and I don't envy you working Smile. That's my time to sit quiet and have a cup of tea!

Had 12 months off with the last 2 and plan to do the same again. Is it wrong I have already worked out when my maternity leave will start Blush Grin

yep i'm on DC3 a surprise dc3 Blush
getting excited and halfway through at 20 weeks
ds 5 years old and dd 20 months old.
are we all mad? Grin

Apparently so, sarahleanne! Or so I keep being told, anyway! Grin

Teaching is a great job EXCEPT all the pressure and paperwork you have to do outside of school. Putting kids to bed, then doing schoolwork before even contemplating housework/getting stuff ready for morning etc = the reason I cut my hours down! The children are the best bit of the job (luckily!!)

I'm a little worried about getting three children out and about when I'm on my own, as we go out a lot or we'd all go mad! What are your main worries/concerns, if you have any?!

im worried about school runs, early mornings with no sleep AGAIN and the fact my DH works away the majority of the time HELP Smile

Hi!

I have DS1, 15 and DS2, 7 months. I am 12 weeks pregnant and beginning to wonder how the heck I'm going to manage with a newborn and a 13 months old!

Congrats, all!!

Yes I'm 29wks with dc3. I'll have 22m between DS and this baby and 6 years between my eldest dd.

I'm also worried about the school run and getting a toddler and newborn ready in the morning. I'm going to have to get the baby into a strict routine from day 1 as I'm due in early November. Very worried.

I'm 10 weeks pregnant with dc3 too. DS is 3 & DD is 19 months so going from a 20 month gap to a 26 month gap. Hoping that'll make it a bit easier! I'm planning on getting a wrap for the new baby this time & one of those cots that attach to the bed. Anything to make life easier. Think we'll need to get a 7 seater car though. Scary but so exciting!!

I'm 21 weeks with DC3. My other DC are 12 & 13. Do I get a prize? :o

BlackholesAndRevelations · 26/08/2013 07:05

Foodaholic- pretty much same age gaps as me- 19.5 months between 1 and 2 and there'll be 27 between 2 and 3.

Can I just say I'm so excited that there are some of you in exactly the same boat as me?! We're not the only mad ones!! My dp works away a lot too. Eek!

Report
workingonitagain · 26/08/2013 07:24

My main worries are being tired and have no patience for them. Also just not being able give them the sufficient amount of attention for them to be happy! We do go out a lot. That seemed to save us from going mad too Smile

I'm 33 weeks pregnant with DC3 and it's all starting to feel a bit real! My DS is 6 and DD 4, so I'll have a bit of a gap.

Congratulations to everyone. :)

Here!
My kids are 2 and 4, so I'll only have 3 under 5 which sounds quite civilised on paper Grin
I'm nearly 21w, due in early Jan (but hoping for as far away from Christmas as possible!).

I'm 30 weeks pregnant with number
3 and my 3rd son! Others are 11 and just about to turn 3. We got married last month so kind of forgot I was pregnant until then as that was taking up all our energy and now we are focused on getting the eldest started in secondary school and the youngest a birthday. Feeling completely unprepared for baby x

Hello! I'm 12 weeks with DC3, scan is on Wednesday and I'm sick as a dog! Older kids are DS (4) and DD (2). DH has taken them out for a walk in the woods whilst I mn recuperate. Luckily he is off work for a few days; yesterday was my sickest yet.

Congratulations everyone. I'm weirdly relaxed about coping with 3, maybe I'm in denial! I worried sooooo much when DD was expected (21 month age gap there) but it was mostly fine.

We will need a new car though! Shock

Oh my, have just realised I will have 3 under 5

Has to be easier than 2 under 2 though surely? Although I feel a bit wet worrying with some of the gaps mentioned Smile

Oh god, and a new car. And the school run.

The full enormity is just dawning...

Great that there are a few of us in the same boat though, we can panic celebrate together!
