well 23+1 and the weeks have really started to drag now.
after the week of buzzing after finding out we are expecting a girl at our 20 week scan this is turning out to be the slowest part of my pregnancy.
anyone got any ideas to keep my mind occupied for the next 17 weeks?

God no, sorry. I'm 39+1 and now every day feels like a year. Sorry that doesn't help much does it? Just try and keep occupied and book lots of other things to do.

I'm 28 wks and feel the same. Trying to

A) catch up with friends as much as possible while I still have the energy

B) get literally everything possible ready for the baby so that when she arrives I have nothing else to worry about.

smerlin all I want to do is spend on baby things.
wish I had a spare few grand and could go on a massive shopping spree.

I found the first 12 weeks dragged, then the rest flew by and from 30w it's dragging again

Mine dragged from BFP (about 2-3 weeks in) to about 30 weeks, then it really started to fly. It has only started to drag now at 35+6 as am in VBAC/ELCS limbo while we wait for positioning scan etc.

I suggest doing as much as you can while (if) you have the energy. Everyone copes differently but at the moment I can't get through the day without a nap and one light housework activity has me knackered, even though I was fairly fit and healthy before pg. So pleased we have all baby's things ready or I'd be panickinflg!

23-35 were the slowest weeks for me. No more scans, not close enough to the big day to get excited. It was just the time where I obsessed about being prepared enough. I was so bored my hospital bag was done by 30 weeks.

Can you afford a 4d scan or something? Then you could have another big thing to get excited about. I also got into writing lists and obsessively giggling at cute baby girl clothes with my MIL.

Oh the plus side, now it's all over and done it feels like it only lasted 5 minutes and I'm dying to do it all again.

I didn't find out i was pregnant until nearly 12 weeks so my 20 weeks scan flew by... I'm now 34 weeks and can say that aslong as you preoccupy yourself (i'm working fulltime still, so not much spare time) the weeks go so fast. I've only got 6 weeks left and still feels like i've just found out. I used to make lists all the time and regularly get out ALL the baby stuff i had and sorted it out into piles... I must've done this about 5 times now! Takes a day, easily!

14-28 weeks flew by for me, now at nearly 30 it's like time has ground to a complete halt. I'm so excited to meet our baby it feels like each week is a year!! 10 weeks seems like a lifetime away!!

In the fog of feeding, cleaning, cooking, ect, I totally forgot they were there.

Sad

Conratulations Thanks Its all worth it.

You're due about the same time as me - not dragging too much yet, I'm just getting excited actually. Maybe I'm just having a good day.
Get everything ready. Plan everything, and get out and do things as much as you can now, because at 39 weeks you'll probably be less inclined.

You could always start your Christmas shopping Wink

My pregnancy has really dragged (due any day now) right from the beginning (v jealous of all those who loved pregnancy - sorry to be a drag). I miss being talked to as me not this weird 'baby carrier machine'. Wish pregnancy was invisable...that would be too much to ask though I know!

I am just sleeping a lot as now on Maternity leave and reading passing the days bye... is v frustrating going from full time work to 'nothingness' before baby is born altho hated work whilst PG so compared to that this is a definite improvement.

Dragging for me too! 22+5 and have a 4D scan on Saturday and it seems like I've been waiting forever! I find that because I'm really nervous and excited about the scans the time up to them just seems like ages, but then after having the scans and knowing everything is okay it seems to pick up a bit. Can't wait to have my little boy here!

39+1 and every day is dragging soooooo slowly...I can't imagine a time when I wasn't pregnant or what it will be like once baby's here! Husband has vetoed any car trips of more than a couple of miles, I can barely breathe and I'm SO bored. Make the most of being able to get out and about while you still can!

Things you need for the baby (cot/pram etc). Ideas for these ie which brand colour ideas etc. List of things to pack in your hospital bag. I am sure there are more but that might help get you started :p x

List of household jobs to do while you have the energy.
List of meals to batch cook for after baby arrives.
Hospital bag list.
Online grocery shopping list ready to be ordered when baby arrives.
List of people to contact with birth announcement.
List of baby names!

Buy a nice big book to get through when you are nearer the end and have done all these jobs (assuming you don't have any other children to entertain)

I just saw my post on here from this morning and was shocked that I'm still 39+1. Surely I wrote that post days ago? Feels like it anyway. Waters broke with dd at 39+1 so I think I've had that in my head as a magic day. Nothing happening though Sad

I'm holding off epilating my legs until tomorrow though, surely that means things will start before I get the chance to do it? Grin

31 weeks and it is booooooring.

Can't do much more to prepare without looking like a loon and having nothing left to do on mat leave.

Work is really dragging - it's really quiet and I have almost nothing to do all day...
