Hi Ladies,

Can I just ask how many cycles you had to go through until you got your BFPs??

Thanks in advance x x

Took just under 2 years with DC1. Decided that it was time to try for DC2 last month, and got a BFP yesterday! shock smile grin

First cycle off the pill and I'm 33 (in fact I think I conceived week after my 33 birthday) - bump is due in 2 weeks...
I was so blasé that although I was taking folic acid we actually conceived after a month of loads of partying and caffeine fuelled work so I guess we were just very lucky!
We did have lots of sex though but not on a particular day/using fertility charts.

First pregnancy was an accident while I was on the pill but ended in miscarriage at 7 weeks.

Second pregnancy was planned and took us three months. I'm about 15 weeks now.

DizzyPurple Sat 20-Jul-13 21:41:40

1st time unplanned, 2nd one 18 years later 1st month (but had miscarriage), 3rd one second month, now have been trying for 27 months with not a hint of a BFP!!!
Good luck with yours.

17 years - so that would be in the region of 204 cycles.

Straight away every time, in my mid 30s. I wasn't ovulating every month, but it was (painfully) obvious when I did and didn't.

I love these threads... Just enjoy it Op. when I found out I uploaded a couple of Apps that have been great for learning what's happening every day.. Got a bit obessive. Ha ha ha. One is called Preganancy HD and the other is called Sprout.. Fantastic and so delighted for you and your other half... grin

I feel in absolute UTTER shock!!!
I just don't believe it!!!

It is our first month of trying and I was told it could take ages as I only had my Mirena removed about 6 weeks ago!! Plus we have only had sex 3 times this month!!!

I honestly just don't believe it.

I can't believe I started this thread 3 days ago because I was worried I would never get pregnant and then today I have had 6 BFPs!!!

grin !!

cakebaby Sat 20-Jul-13 18:38:57

4 cycles, bought ovulation test kit after 2 of those, hey presto am due in 5 weeks, I was 39 1/2 & DH mid 40's. I consider us extraordinarily fortunate grin we both work shifts which brings a relatively unhealthy lifestyle.

LittlePeaPod Sat 20-Jul-13 18:20:39

With this pregnancy (1 previous mc) started ttc in March and got BFP in May. Good Luke Op

Isabeller Sat 20-Jul-13 17:56:00

DC1 - about a year (aged 28)
DC2 - instantaneously! Which is why they are only 16 months apart. We decided to start trying soon after having DC1 as we thought given how long it took to conceive the first time it might take ages. I was pregnant literally within a few hours of deciding to try for a second baby.
DC3 - about three cycles, I think (aged 32). Almost certainly conceived on day of ovulation.

babybear9 Thu 18-Jul-13 22:36:36

exactly a year. Never considered how hard it would be to be honest, spent that morning i came on every month sobbing that i still wasn't pregnant. So glad to be here now, hope it's a sticky one!

qumquat Thu 18-Jul-13 21:59:20

1st cycle. Had sex once. Quite a shock!

First attempt both times. We were very fortunate.

maggiethemagpie Thu 18-Jul-13 20:22:10

The first time was an accident! The second time, the fourth cycle but as I did not ovulate the first cycle, my doc put me on clomid which only worked two out of three cycles, so it was the second time I actually ovulated.
