Pregnancy

I'd forgotten what early pregnancy is like ...

God it's tiresome! Am only five or six weeks, but exhausted, no energy, constantly wanting to eat, brain feels utterly fuzzy and am finding it impossible to concentrate at work ... just want to go to sleep! I can't remember it being like this before - is this what it's like?? This is my third pregnancy but it's been a while - my littlest is 5.5 - so perhaps I am just getting old Smile Remind me this is normal (especially the constant eating to stave off the nausea)

I'm about 7/8 weeks and feel the same as you! It's awful :)
I shouldn't have forgotten though as my DCs are 3 & 1.

What an I going to do........

I'm at exactly the same stage with DC2 and feel the same. Wondering if it's just because I'm more tired this time because I have DS to look after as well. And maybe it's the heat.

I'm just waiting for morning sickness to kick in now - with DS it wasn't until about 8 weeks, so I've got a couple of weeks - dreading that a bit...

I feel exactly the same and am 11 weeks. So fed up with it now.

This is dc3 and I had also forgotten!

I am very happy to be pg but I really need to be able to function for a whole day without having to rest!

It's rubbish isn't it! Also a perpetual dull headache. Though I suspect that might be a result of my complete tea and coffee cold turkey. Going from drinking four or five cups a day to none - the very thought of it makes me feel so sick.

But no there is no excuse for you forgetting JemimaPuddle! Smile It's been a while for me - wondering what I have let myself in for (in more ways than one) EEK!

Hope you haven't forgotten about the Morning Sickness that's just round the corner. Right now I am in the middle of my 7th vomit of the day, feeling dead tired and my eyes are swimming even as I type.

RooTwo · 15/07/2013 14:19

Poor you Halfling - 7th vomit ... I never got proper morning sickness with my other two - not throwing up anyway - so fingers crossed I'll get away with it this time. Tiredness/vague nausea is bad enough ...

I know! I've booked my appointment with the midwife for Wednesday afternoon & I'm hoping for a dating scan as I'm only guessing at my dates. Fingers crossed I'm a bit further on as I only felt like this for the first 12 weeks with my other pregnancies. The thought of another 5 weeks of feeling like this doesn't fill me with joy :)

8 weeks here with a 1 and 2 year old. Mostly just quietly wishing for death.

Hello! I'm 6 weeks and being looked after for a possible ectopic pregnancy which makes it doubly hard to tell anyone.

But im sooo tired I can barely stay awake at work and obv don't want to let on.

Early scan tomorrow to check the position so fingers crossed!

Almost eleven weeks here, and feeling awful. I feel bad complaining as it's a miracle I'm pregnant, and I had a mc in Feb. But oh my word, the nausea, utter exhaustion, etc!

Report
bigredtractor · 15/07/2013 14:45

Thanks Humps - a couple of biscuits would go down a treat right now!

It's freaking awful!!

I'm 32 weeks now and honestly feel far better than I did at 6-9 weeks.

God yes, it's dire! 7 weeks here, and feeling so nauseous I just want to curl up and cry.
I can hardly keep my eyes open, but I've got to go so the school run in a few minutes. Can't wait till I feel less sick, but that wasn't until 16 weeks in my other 2 pregnancies, so I've got a long way to go yet Sad

Congratulations! Yes it is sooo tiring and wooze inducing. I was lucky enough never to get morning sickness but the tiredness and general memory loss was bad enough for me. Nothing prepared me for the exhaustion - I expected pregnancy to be a bit tiring arond the last few weeks, but the start for me was worse.

6 weeks here, also with 3rd. Haven't told anyone and really need people to not expect anything from me at the moment so it's hard! Fortunately the LOs (4 and 2) are happy enough in paddling pool. If the weather was bad I don't know what I'd do. (Well actually I'd just put the telly on!!!)

Not quite 5 weeks here. Nausea and acid stomach already here. Peeing for England, sore breasts and a foul taste! Just what I remembered from the last time! Confused someone remind me why I'm doing this again? after 14 years!

Report
JumpingJacks · 15/07/2013 15:14

I have that foul taste as well - Yuk! I keep eating crap to try and get rid of it but it doesn't go anywhere.

Hee hee SaggyOldClothCatPuss - glad there are some other nutters revisiting babies. Only been 5.5 years for me but seems like an eternity and I broke out in a cold sweat last night when I suddenly had a vision of sleepless nights, etc etc.

Anyway, roll on 12 or 16 weeks or whenever it starts to settle down. I can't really remember ... I hope I haven't turned into a huge heffer by then Grin - going to have to curb this ridiculous carb intake. Have basically been eating continuously all day - waiting for colleagues to notice (and also wonder why I am no longer doing any tea runs)

For me the worst is the worry. I MC in February. I'm now permanently terrified. I daren't look when I wipe when I pee, and every little twinge makes me worse! Confused ill take every single bit of nausea, breast tenderness and exhaustion I can get gladly!

I bet the symptoms are actually quite comforting Saggy, as a sign everything is ok.

Long may they last - well not quite, but you get my drift

I am currently 37 weeks pregnant and posted an identical thread to this as you!! I felt awful from 5 - 16 weeks...like I had the hangover from hell but without the party!! I honestly didnt think I could get through it if pregnancy was like that for the whole 40 weeks. I actually felt a lot better from 20 weeks onwards. I think the worst bit is the first trimester as you are hiding too. It will get better Wink.
