Yeah, felt a bit shy doing it myself.

Good news ladies, got two new bras and a fab swimsuit yesterday. Hollybobs here I come. Now just combined and Harmony test to get through.

Scan tomorrow at 10 am. Relatively sane so far, have been keeping busy. Hope it lasts

Marking my place on this lovely new threadsmile
Goodluck with your scan tomorrow aoifesmile
Talking of bras I best start think of treating myself to some new ones soon, as bursting out of my bras already!grin

shellsocks Sun 19-May-13 09:22:08

shellsocks Sun 19-May-13 09:22:22

*or

Thanks for the new thread bakings

Hope everything is okay lucky xx

IBelieveInPink Sun 19-May-13 09:44:31

Yay new thread!

Lucky hope you are okay. Get in touch with someone just to put your mind at rest.

Speaking of new bras I would like to share something. Before being preggy I was a 32D. Yesterday, I bought a 34F. So not impressed with this.

Aoifebelle Sun 19-May-13 09:47:09

I refused to look at the size of mine. Have asked OH to remove all evidence.

DIYandEatCake Sun 19-May-13 09:47:58

Hi everyone. lucky I hope you're ok and getting seen soon, keeping everything crossed for you.

Another awful migraine today, it hurts so much, I just don't know what to do with myself. Dp has been good though and got dd up this morning and has taken her swimming now, feel guilty for him having to do more but in too much of a state to do anything useful. Makes me appreciate having good drugs available normally though, what people must have gone through a couple of hundred years ago with all sorts of awful pain...
mummy have you found anything at all that helps? Have tried paracetamol (useless), ice pack, hot water bottle, punching self in the head....!

Good luck tomorrow aoife! baking how long til your scan now?

diy I don't find paracetamol helpful either - I think my migraines are immune to them!! I find a cold flannel over my eyes helps and just trying to sleep (I know how hard that is though). I really feel for you my lovely - I hope you feel better soon xxx

DIYandEatCake Sun 19-May-13 10:17:12

Thanks. It's just wearing me down so much as without drugs each one is lasting 3 or 4 days, and it's so hard to look after dd when dp's at work. Sorry to be moaning all the time, I know it's all for a good reason (hopefully - I am going to be angry as hell if there's not actually a baby in there next scan!).

Aoifebelle Sun 19-May-13 10:53:28

Oh dear DIY that sounds horrid, the lack of respite particulalry. Does there come a point where the need for pain relief out-weighs the risk to bean? Is it worth asking the doc about? I am asking from a place of no knowledge BTW.

diy when I was pregnant with DS I was getting them constantly and they were lasting for days. I went to the drs and they have me some painkillers - I can't remember what they were but they were safe for pregnancy - they made me sick so I had an anti-sickness tablet too. Could you give your GP a call tomorrow and explain the situation? Xx

DIYandEatCake Sun 19-May-13 11:39:42

mummy that's interesting, I wonder what they were. I saw my gp a few times when I was pg with dd, as the same happened then, and they weren't willing to offer any painkillers other than paracetamol. They did say I could try low-dose amitriptyline to see if it reduced the frequency of the headaches but as I didn't know if it would work I was reluctant to take the risk. It's a hard one, I know I'd always blame myself if I took something and there was something wrong with the baby, even if a link was unlikely. I think I might call the gp tomorrow though, I'm useless to dd like this.

GaryBuseysTeeth Sun 19-May-13 12:13:28

Thanks for the new thread baking!

Hope you're ok lucky?

Congrats on the scan chocolate

shell, I like Nate/Nathaniel, love Adam IBIP..but feels like an odd choice for us to call our 2nd son, iyswim?
Oooh, feels really posifrickintive discussing baby names!
Bought a sling yesterday, you know, for the baby.

DIY, glad DP is being fab, hope having a break helps you.

Vixjane Sun 19-May-13 13:35:46

Oooo new thread!!

Hope everything is ok lucky and we hear from you soon.

aoife did you get normal bras or maternity ones? I went to try some on last week in debenhams ans the maternity ones were terrible, felt like i had a monoboob! Ended up buying a normal bra in a cup size bigger which fits great nut it is underwired. I asked about the underwired maternity ones and was told they don't fit them for pregnant women even and they don't stock them in store even though they have them on their website! Good luck for your scan tomorrow!

diy hope you feel better soon!

BlackholesAndRevelations Sun 19-May-13 14:42:10

Good luck for scans tomorrow!

Quick post as I'm in the car (passenger!!) butwanted to say, lucky- really hope all is ok. Have you called the midwife? Xxx

Aoifebelle Sun 19-May-13 14:53:51

vix two soft cup bras, that are really supportive and avoid the dreaded mono boob. I posted a longer review on another thread. It has made the world of difference, no more itchy boobs.

IBelieveInPink Sun 19-May-13 14:56:53

Vix - I'm sticking in underwires. I know they say you not supposed to, but there's no way these 'F' badboys are going in anything other than underwires! Just making sure I buy regularly so that they fit properly.

DIYandEatCake Sun 19-May-13 15:36:45

lucky thinking about you and wondering if you're ok? Hope you've got some reassurance.

Well dp declared himself 'knackered' at lunchtime and collapsed on the sofa, so back to it. I hope he remembers, next time he's moaning about having to work while I 'laze about' all day....! Going to friends for dinner and may tell them, one eye is still red and watering and I'm not going to manage to eat much! Need to get eating more to grow a bump, back in size 8 skinny jeans and t shirt and it feels a bit wrong at 10.5 weeks...

Vixjane Sun 19-May-13 16:04:14

Cheers aoife and ibip. Mine are also an 'F' now so need to keep them in check! I might try out the underwired maternity ones in a bit. Just a pain in the bum to have to order different sizes to try them and then send them back! Oh well...

diy sending some biscuits your way!!

Aoifebelle Sun 19-May-13 17:53:16

Only just saw the last message from lucky on the old thread. Anyone heard any news? Sending you the posifrickintivity. Always happens on a frickin weekend. Thinking of you.

GardenWorm Sun 19-May-13 17:58:08

Oh lucky, hope you've been able to see someone by now, thinking of you X

I am well jel of this boobage talk, I'm on the small side and refuse to wear anything other than underwired until 'the milk comes in' and they go crazy, they'd look non existent otherwise.

Aoife good luck for tomorrow, mines at 2pm.....

LuckySocks13 Sun 19-May-13 18:04:36

Sorry I went missing today! Mums 60th And we put on a garden party at her house and didn't have my phone. I decided due to several previous poor experiences at weekends at hospitals to monitor the situation and then contact the early pregnancy unit 2mor if needed. Dreading a full on busy week at work this week. Really want to take it easy but can't take more time off! May see if can work from home on the afternoon. Thanks for all your thoughts. Feeling a bit emotional now I've got home!

Aoifebelle Sun 19-May-13 18:46:16

Good to hear from you lucky, have your symptoms eased off? If it was just the once and not too much then maybe not such a worry? (Easy for me to type eh?). Put those feet up and have a nice early night. A bath always helps me chill out. Xx
