I was the same up to week 13.

Make sure you get loads of sleep, naps really helped my nausea. And don't let your stomach go empty a keep up your protein levels, regular cheese on toast seemed to work. Take your pregnancy vitamins at night because they can make you queasy. Avoid acidic drinks and drink lots of milk to help settle your stomach.

Those tips relieved my nausea to some degree but I ended up getting medication from my gp at week 10 because I was vomiting a few times a day.

It is rubbish at that early stage when you can't feel the baby and just feel terrible, but it'll get better - I promise! x

Hi hun. The advice above is great..i also found freezing fresh orange in an ice cube tray helped as tasted better than water to suck on. Try dissolving a stock cube in hot water and sipping in slowlybrather than large gulps as ot will help

It does get better...i wanted to smack ppl who said it to me but it is true.

If it carries on see ur Gp as they can love u pills to help

Hi,

I hope you start to feel better soon. I suffered up to 24 weeks with my last pregnancy with sickness everyday and it made me feel incredibly emotional!

I am pregnant again, a bit less than you, and haven't been sick yet but familiar waves of nausea have started! Lots of deep breathing and sitting right done on the floor helps/helped me.

On a more practical note I used to carry a few small pedal bin liners in my bag so I had something to be sick into if out and about (though luckily never needed them - just made me feel better to know they were there. My poor sister was sick into her handbag on the tube :(

When you do go to work I would suggest telling someone (maybe a manager or a close work friend) so that there is someone there who can look out for you when you feel rough. I felt much better once I told my boss last year as I knew there was at least someone who understood why I looked so pale and tearful!

I carry glucose tablets round too for a bit of a sugar hit because I read somewhere that the nausea can be made worse by low blood sugar.

Good luck :)

Hey, just wanted to say I'm feeling horrendous too, and I can totally relate to the emotional side of it too, I sat on Sunday and cried for two hours cos I was feeling sorry for myself!

Going to try with some of the above advice too, and just wanted to add, I've been wearing travel sickness bands this week and they have really taken the edge off, I don't feel back to normal but I'm able eat and function better than last week!

Hope it stops soon for you x

Been feeling just the same, in tears to my DH feeling like a failure as I'm so rubbish as a PG lady, always leaving work Early or missing all together.
Things that have helped me, same as others say, naps & keeping eating even whe you don't want to & I got some Sea bands yesterday, they are the best thing in the world to me right now. I haven't felt sick all day today, still tired but the horrible ill feeling I've had almost from day 1 has gone. I woul recommend getting some. Hope you feel better soon
