Just wondering really!

I'm 33 and have just had my first ds. We know we want another and definitely don't want a big age gap.

I'm worried by all the recent publicity about how many couples really struggle to get pregnant with their second baby.

Hi, I'm 30 and it took us 6 months second time (was the first month first time), started to worry it wasn't going to happen!

34. We weren't planning another one and he was a result of the one night we took a risk. I couldn't believe it when i took a pregnancy test! Of course we wouldn't change a thing now.

34. We had vaguely mentioned that perhaps we'd like another one, and BOOM! I was pregnant.

I think that abstention is the only way we'll stop a 3rd.

Got pregant with dd when ds was just turned 5 months, they say sometimes you can get pregant quickly again after giving birth. So only 14 months between them they get on great glad i done it this way !

24, about a year give or take ... Not proper trying trying iykwim, just not using anything.

Can count on one hand how many times we've done it since ds arrived 16 month ago and im 4/5 month again!

gemma4d Wed 03-Apr-13 18:42:43

32. 1 5 minutes.

First took 1.5 years. Hell of a shock.

mnistooaddictive Wed 03-Apr-13 18:43:51

32 and it took about 3 days. But of a shock.

mylovelymonster Wed 03-Apr-13 18:44:28

I was a couple of months off 40, DD1 was 2, and we had BMS just once. (13 months the first time!).
It depends on whether you have any known fertility issues and how fit & healthy you are as well as age. If all good, you really shouldn't worry.

Bearcrumble Wed 03-Apr-13 18:46:59

38 and one shag. First DC was 2 years of trying and two ivfs. ha.

philbee Wed 03-Apr-13 18:48:19

DD took 3 months and I was 31. Second pg took 4 months and I was 34 but I miscarried. After that it took a year so I was 35 by the time I got pg again.

KristinaM Wed 03-Apr-13 18:50:54

2months aged 40, had a miscarriage

2 months next time, still 40

Not trying at all aged 42 ( was bf, no AF)

KelleStar Wed 03-Apr-13 18:54:56

Breast fed DD until 15 months, took 4 months to fall pregnant with DC2, I am 31. DD will be 2.4 when baby arrives.

1st month of trying. So was the first dc. I was 26 when first dc was conceived and 28 when second was conceived. Was utterly convinced both times that it would take ages confused

cinnamonbun Wed 03-Apr-13 19:07:19

Was 39 first time and am now 33 expecting DC2. Took 8 months for both.

thing1andthing2 Wed 03-Apr-13 19:09:13

Was 32 and fell pregnant first month.

AThingInYourLife Wed 03-Apr-13 19:09:52

I was 33. I got pregnant second month. First full cycle.

CareerGirl01 Wed 03-Apr-13 19:10:30

Got pg at 37 with DD1 - four months after coming off mini pill. Had taken regular checks for progesterone levels throughout my late 20s and 30s after being told I had PCOS (had ultrasound which confirmed it) took 6 months age 41 with DC2 and am now 35 weeks (and have turned 42) pg. We weren't really trying (i.e timing it with my ovulation days) with either. Wanted big gap between my DCs because of my career. But would recommend following healthy diet and exercise regime if you want to wait until your late 30s /early 40s; I think many women think they can leave it late because they see all the celebs having buns later - most of whom have had help TTC.
