Been told baby os now 2/5ths engaged but don't really know what the implications are......is it likely to be sooner rather that later then or is it still just expect on due date or after really??

I have no clue.

Is this your first?
Saying that with both mine was told they were engaged but Ds was 15days over and DD kept bobbing in and out even in labour.

First baby yes, hence I have no idea bout these things!

Was told he was 'only just' engaged Friday but today is 2/5ths so seems to be heading in the right direction. Just wondered if you guys thought it was a sign as it were?!

regardless of that tho, you are 37 weeks, so you don't have much longer to go Smile

Doesn't mean a huge amount -- people can be fully engaged for weeks or (like my DS) you can go into labour without being engaged. It's certainly not a bad thing, but beyond that you can't really draw any conclusions.

sadly not a clear sign - like lou's my 2st baby was fully engaged very early on (30 weeks I think) - I really got my hopes up and then ended up being induced at 41 weeks. I think it's more a reflection on the good state of your abdominal muscles!
Enjoy your freedom. :)

Thanks girls...........trying not to get too impatient but I'm rubbish at waiting for anything so even though I am still 3 weeks off my due dat - I really want everything to be a sign if I'm honest!

again for me that was not a clear sign as dd2 went up and down like a yoyo - at almost 42 weeks when I had her by c-section she was high again.
