GnT
Sushi
Champagne
Marboro lights.

They have all been sorely missed!

The day after I stopped breastfeeding DD (6 weeks in due to tongue-tie) I devoured a load of goats cheese. Heaven!

NHS say sushi's fine in pregnancy. As is pasteurised goats soft cheese (rindless). Isn't goats cheese fine when breastfeeding? I've eaten loads this week.

My rider for dd was chilled champagne, pate and Brie with good French bread. It was fabulous.

Only 11wks so far and am already planning to take a cool box to hospital with a picnic of m and s goodies in it, especially the raspberry jelly with raspberries in it......mmmmmm

Why can't you eat raspberry jelly now? What am I missing?

And why wouldn't you eat goat's cheese while BF? Confused

katie i ate stacks of sushi in first trimester, in fact it really helped with morning sickness, think it was combi of glutinous rice and all that ginger...then my relationship with fish utterly hit the skids. Been a total carnivore ever since!

fergus like your post (try and ditch the MLs though! Am trying to get DH to give up too)
Champagne - we have a bottle of VC left over from our wedding- saving it!
Goats cheese - with rind!!!
Chocolate - Godiva or Hotel Chocolat - as I've found all sweet things unbearable this pg (
Stilton - don't really like but don't like fact I can't eat it!
A steam and or sauna and a spin class. Then some ashtanga yoga - sad I know but have been banned from these too.
Skinny jeans - wishful thinking

I used to wonder if the tea and toast after birth was a myth but, sure enough, within minutes of being wheeled back to the delivery room (after brief visit to theatre) I was given two pieces of buttery toast and DH had the tea. It was amazing. Somehow just exactly what I needed after a 36 hr labour during which I had eaten...precisely...nothing.

I ate quite a bit of sushi with dc2 as well Grin

Went almost veggie first time round so pâté didn't appeal but this time round I craved meat. In fact I ate my first steak. Cooked it myself and everything. I would have heaved at just the thought first time round. Once she was born I ate a lot of pâte!

Just the tea and toast provided by the MW!

You can eat sushi when pregnant. And stilton. And runny (lion-stamped) eggs and baked alaska - those chickens must be vaccinated against salmonella. You can go to sauna if you're used to it and don't have blood pressure problems - all women in Finland do and they have actually extremely low rate of the issues saunas are supposed to cause. Unless you have any particular health issues, it's fine to continue with most exercise.

Only thing I'm really missing is comfortably sleeping on my stomach.

And a huge bag of pick and mix (concerned about eating too much sweet stuff because of gestational diabetes).

A very thick layer of yummy goats cheese (with rind) on a French crusty stick with a very large guilt free glass of cold Sauvignon blanc or champers.
