Hi lady's hoping someone can help me, about 3 weeks ago I was admitted 2 hospital with severe headache that lasted around 5 days mri scans and blood works done was sent home and told was possibly hormonal or the uti I had at time. Well 3 weeks in and it's back! Rang dr who's worried about blood pressure and mentioned pre eclampsia my question is this is my 3rd baby and never had these problems before so how likely is it to be pre e? I thought was first time mums n those with large age gap? I'm 23 weeks. Thanks sam

It is uncommon, but possible to have pre-eclampsia on your third pregnancy (I am assuming you have the same partner as this can make a difference). Have you had your bp checked? If not, I would suggest a swift visit to GP or midwife to do this, check your urine for protein & other symptoms (swelling to face, fingers, feet/epigastric pain/visual disturbances).
Do the headaches resolve with painkillers?

Seen gp bp only 123/74 so he's not so bothered anymore. Yes same partner, pain relief dosent help no just looking like another 'hormonal problem'! X

My midwife told me to drink PLENTY of water as dehydration can be a huge contributing factor to headaches (Mine were absolute stonkers, total agony). The water worked :) Good luck x
