Bump at 10weeks?!

Hello Mumsnet

I am 10 and 1/2 weeks pregnant and feel like my bump has popped already. You wouldnt notice it unless I am wearing a fitted top but just wondering whether anyone else is feeling bumpy at this stage?

It's my first so not sure when you start showing, but family and friends said they didnt show till much later. I have always been very trim with a flat stomach and waist of 26inches, so maybe it's just because my body is starting to put on weight and that I'm not used to it. I was surprised to read my uterus is the size of a grapefruit?! I'm finding my clothes dont fit already and my jeans are not comfortable, wearing a hair elastic around the button to wear them donw up. But to early to wear maternity clothes.

Maybe I just need to get used to the fact that I am growing new life!

Andy advice or tips would be welcome. I don't mind embracing ym bump, but before 12 weeks is hard to want to show it off yet.

I started showing at about 10 weeks too but I doubt if anyone else would have noticed. I was a size 8 so I bought some size 10 outfits just to wear till I was in maternity stuff. I loved having a little secret bump although to me at the time it seemed huge but it wasn't really.
Wait till your belly button pops inside out - thats fun!!

I've always been in maternity trousers by 10 weeks. I just show quickly I think. Have never managed to keep my pregnancies a secret till the 12 week scan. Not helpful but my 1st pregnancy was twins

Think height and weight can have a massive bearing on how you show as well. I'm only 5ft1 and slim whereas I have friends who are maybe 5ft10 and look lovely and slim the whole way through

Could just be water retention at this stage too though

heehee thanks!! Yea, I think I might pop to Primark an just but some inbetween stuff as you said. Nice being at home, getting dressed and revealing this bump! I was aways the jammy friend that could eat what I wanted and not exercise, oh how times will change! lol

I was the same! At 12/13 weeks I ended up buying some Topshop maternity jeans and they were such a relief! Just nice to be comfy. I'm petite too so must be to do with that. Now in full on maternity clothes at 16 weeks but find the tighter stuff more flattering. H&M do some reasonably priced stuff. Enjoy!
