Spray tan?

Ok so call me shallow/vain but before I was pregnant, every week I woyld get a spray tan, my nails done, eyebrows etc. Since I've fallen pregnant (currently 15 weeks) I have given up spray tanning. Shock, horror! But I have a 21st Birthdayy party coming up, its the first time venturing out since I discovered I was pregnant. Is spray tanning harmful? I don't plan on doing it weekly while pregnant. Maybe just the odd one. Fake bake is paraben free and uses natural ingredients. Any advice?

Also, maternity clothes? I need a party dress! I can only seem to find floaty unflattering dresses, I wanted something slightly more trendy and fitted, any suggestions? Sorry about the sheer vanity of this post /:

I think you aren't supposed to spray tan but can home tan, but then again if its the same product ie fake bake, st tropez then might be ok? Ask the salon as they'll def know. Not vain at all, I was fake tan junkie but just haven't got around to it!
Regards maternity wear, I find more fitted stuff is flattering which is the opposite to what I thought. So you don't have to maternity specific wear could just something you'd normally wear but just in bigger size.

You sound just like me! I'm 31+2weeks now and has Booked in at my salon for a manicure, pedicure, eyelash extensions, eyebrow wax and tint and an exfoliate and leg/bikini wax Grin it's these little pleasures that keep us going! I personally gave up my spray tans as something about the cold spray touching my skin set my teeth on edge since I fell pregnant! I recommended St Tropez/St Moriz home tan for a bit of a glory boost. As for maternity clothes I haven't bought any apart from
Maternity leggings/Jeggins I just bought tops one size up to accommodate my bump I found maternity clothes to be very expensive! Oh and I attended my graduation day and graduation ball at 19 weeks pregnant and found a maxi style pink dress that was tight at the bust was fabulous for the ball and a tight fitted bright pink peplum dress perfect for my graduation day as it hid my little bump nicely and flattered my silhouette. Peplum dresses are very stylish/flattering for that! New look do some fab ones as do Topshop. Hope that helps! P.S don't be ashamed of sounding vain just because your going to be a mum doesn't mean you have to give up your glam! Yummy mummy's unite! Grin

I've booked into the salon for pretty much everything apart from a tan, but I still get everything done weekly. I'd go insane if I didn't lol. Thanks ladies. Will ask the salon and see what they say and will have a look about for a dress.

I was told by my midwife to avoid spray tans but that some home tans were ok- I used dove tan during pregnancy

I have avoided spray tans in both pregnancies for first 12 weeks but have had several since! My friend (home spray tan) just gives me a mask and I hold my breath for the face bit.

At 35 wks I couldn't do a home tan if I wanted, I couldn't reach half my body Grin

Think I'm going to do it. Phoned the salonand they said fake bake is safe and the room is well ventilated. Plus I'll get a patch test because pregnancy can bring on allergies. Ohhh I can't wait to be brown again! :D
