Hi Nicky. My appointment is at 4pm.

Been feeling a lot of downwards pressure throughout today, so am really hopefull. Have bought myself some Lavender oil for a relaxing bath when I get home tonight as well.

Hi Nicky, midwife said my cervix were very favourable and she could manage a really good sweep. She said she would be surprised to see me back at 41 weeks. Lets hope she is right.

Have you had your sweep yet? How did it go?

Hey! Great news!!
Well didn't end up having it after all.
Consultant was surprised I'd been booked for a sweep as had a "normal" delivery last time and am considered low risk.

He said baby wasn't big, I'm not 40 years of age or older. My BP is fine, but if I wanted one he would do it.
He said personally unless DP is going away and likely to miss the birth he wouldn't recommend it.

He also said that for a sweep to be successful it would hurt .

DP and I discussed and agreed no need to poke around/interfere unless there was a medical reason.

Now wondering if I will live to regret that choice! Stupid consultant also wrote on my noted he measured my fundal height......which he didn't!! Pis$es me off when they do that

Not even so much as a niggle since the sweep. Not expecting anything to happen. Have been booked for another sweep next Wednesday, when I will also be booked in for induction.

Any sign yet?" Bump" arrived yesterday at 225. Pm after a really short labour of 2hrs 40 mins he weighs 9lb1oz x x

Congratulations Nicky I saw on the Feb thread you had had your baby. Lovely short labour as well and during the day. All sounds wonderful. Hope I get one like that. Although not so sure about pushing out such a big baby.

Had a show yesterday morning, which seems to keep giving now, but no other sign. Have midwife on Wednesday and have been bookd for another sweep then.
