I'm expecting a girl and for the first few months I craved loads of fresh fruit, which I'm normally not that bothered about, and glasses of milk in the middle of the night!
No weird cravings for disgusting things though, I've noticed everyone always expects you to have one like that and people get quite disappointed when you say nope, just fruit I'm afraid!

I'm only 5+5 but last night I had a dream where I was gasping for salt and ended up pouring a whole salt shaker into my mouth. It was similar to those dreams you get about drinking water when you're a bit dehydrated!

And truth is I do want salty things - salty butter on toast mainly!

To add to Dc3- eating lots of fruit especially nectrines

In my first trimester it was satsumas and spicy foods. My cravings have now, at 29+2, extended to lots of food. Any food. Soooo hungry - all the time!!

34 weeks and no cravings at all, I feel let down!

I haven't had any one specific thing, I just fixate on something and NEED to have it, then it's onto something else. Right now it's cheesy pasta. I really needed to smell mint sauce for a good few weeks, I bought a squeezy bottle of it and carried it around so I could sniff. Gone off it completely now though.

Ice! It's making me so bloody cold! I'm getting through about 10 trays a day. I was the same with dc1 but at least it was summer then...

And as I've got dreadful insomnia, I'm crunching my way through a tray or 2 at night as well.

Why can't I crave something healthy like fruit - something that actually has some nutritional content?!

Oh and Lindt chocolate with sea salt...with extra salt Grin

Don't think I've had any cravings - I was expecting to have to send DH out in the middle of the night for a burger or something. Total let down. Now 27 + 5 and I could quite happily survive on hot sweet tea, flame grilled flavour crisps or pringles and the odd bar of snickers, but I do try to eat a healthy balanced diet and I don't cry if I have to miss out on yummy hot tea and crisps. Feel dreadfully guilty most of the time as haven't eaten a single piece of fruit for weeks. Have veg every day but the idea of fruit is very unappealing, whereas I loved the stuff before. Maybe I have Opposite Cravings?

With my first DC it was cheddar cheese and strawberry jam sandwiches on white bread. Second DC it was olives by the jar, and 3rd DC was green pot noodles!
With this pregnancy it's tinned potatoes and melted cheese!

In the first few weeks it was beetroot, couldn't get enough, then I suddenly couldn't even look at the stuff!

Since then (now 19+3) they come, and persist until I have the craved thing, then go. So far it's been mostly sweet - jam tarts, doughnuts, vanilla milkshake. I have one a few occasions NEEDED curry (like right now, DH will be pleased!) And I have a persistent low level want for pot noodle, but that's a step too far and I'm ignoring it!

FoofFighter · 08/02/2013 17:36

Satsumas in the early weeks, then bland stuff/beige carbs, now it's fish in batter/fishfingers and anything spicy. Although I have to say not really thought they wer cravigns as like things for a day or two then thats it?

More like I am very suggestible and someone has to only mention it/me read it/see it on TV etc and I WANT THAT THING NOW.

sunnyJust a heads up I was craving ice when pregnant and I ended up with severe anemia. Only to find out later craving ice was actually a symptom!
