Raspberry tea confusion

After a long and tedious google search I've reached the conclusion that the overall consensus is that you shouldn't drink raspberry leaf tea whilst pregnant.
Now as an avid tea drinker I couldn't believe how rubbish decaf tea tastes, I've treated myself to some instant teas from whittards one of which is cranberry and raspberry, do we think this will be safe for me to drink?
Thanks in advance ladies

I'm drinking a lot of fruit tea and rooibos (which you can put milk in). From what I remember of raspberry leaf tea from taking it for my periods in my early 20s, it tastes like washing up water, so I'm not rushing back to it Grin!

I think it is raspberry LEAF tea which in thought to help stimulate uterine contractions.
Have you got raspberry (ie the fruit) or raspberry leaf?
I think a google of this difference may help.

It's exactly what you should be drinking if you're post-37 weeks and are trying to help prep your body for labour! But it has to be proper, pure raspberry leaf tea (or capsules) - not some foufou Twinnings mixed fruit jobby.

cycle try the capsules - you can get them at Holland & Barrett. (& right now they're part of the 1 pence sale!)

Rasberry leaf tea is not advised till past 32wks really, people say it can induce labour but thsts not true, it just tones the womb to make contractions more efficient when in labour.

However cranberry and rasberry tea is not rasberry leaf, its just rasberrys so thats totally safe. Most fruit teas are fine in pregnancy xx

On another note, decaf earl grey is much much nicer than ordinary decaf, I'm living on it at the moment, plus decaf fresh coffee!
