Pregnancy

still losing weight from one baby

hi

Thinking about trying for a second baby after the summer, but I am still about 10lb heavier than before having my first (10st atm)

Do I need to lose it first? Seems a bit of a waste of effort on one hand, but worried I might end up monster fat if I don't! Or simply never bother going back once the 2nd baby is here

Is this a daft topic of conversation?

Hi, I didn't wait as I was too impatient for another! I am worried about putting weight on so I have joined slimming world, it's safe to follow in pregnancy and I hope it will help limit the weight gain so I don't have an even bigger mountain to climb when this little one is born. Just go for it, life is too short for waiting imo!

I'm still carrying a bit of extra weight but decided to start trying for DC2 anyway. I'm not pregnant yet after a few months trying and have managed to lose most of my "baby weight" while TTC anyway so I'm glad I didn't wait to start trying!

I lost weight before this one, but was ttc for a while (when i was overweight) so was just pot luck i conceived when my BMI had gotten back to the normal range.

For the sake of 10lbs - I wouldnt' bother :-) You can always lose it later.

I was wondering the same thing as you, then decided I couldn't be bothered putting in the effort to put it all on again. Got pregnant, currently 17 weeks and am huge! My bump isn't as pert as last time either, my stomach muscled have just given up. Fully intend to get exercising once this ones out though, regardless of no3 ever being on the cards :)
