I'm 3months and 1 week pregnant with my 1st but there is still no sign of a bump!Hmm
I know most women would say i'm lucky but i'm just worried baby's not growing right:/ I just really want a bump haha. With your 1st do anyone know when you start to show or do it depend on the individual?

I didn't get a bump until a couple of weeks after my 20week scan. Just looked a bit bloated before then.

Yes, at 3 months, when you tell people you're pregnant, they're usually surprised because they can't tell yet. Don't worry, enjoy it.

Totally normal - I didn't really have a bump until well after 20 weeks. I've heard it takes longer to show on a first-timer because your tummy muscles hold everything in better. Now I'm 33 weeks and have a definite bump Smile

At 12 weeks the baby is only about 5 cm long, so still really tiny! I think it depends on the individual as to how quickly you show. First time I had a bump early on, second time no sign until 16 weeks.

Thank you for the comments, your all making me feel better:) I just can't wait until I have a bump and actually look pregnant it all feels a bit sureal at the moment! When i'm waddling around and have the swollen ankles and the other joys of pregnancy I wonder if I will still want the big bump then. Haha:D Xx

totally normal in my experience - I just looked like I'd been eating too much cake until about week 14/15 and even then it took another couple of weeks to get the beginnings of a proper bump. First baby too so I think this is entirely normal.

I'm 19 weeks and only just beginning to see a bump, I know what you mean about it not really feeling like it's happening until you've got a bump. Hasn't stopped people touching my stomach like, including a woman who simply rested her hand on it as she spoke to me.

Babyradio when my sis was pg and people used to come and just put their hands on her bump she used to just casually put her hand on their boob (unless old lady she would stick both her hands on their face) or somewhere else for a bloke! They'd be like wtf? And she would just say something like 'oh I thought inappropriate touching was normal for you' or something along those lines. Grin ....just a thought :)

I only got a small bump at 20 weeks, totally flat at 12 weeks. Both times at full term you couldn't tell I was pregnant from behind, just like a bowling ball stuck up my jumper.

Noone ever patted my (meagre) bump. I might have quite liked it!

That's a brilliant idea TinkyPeet, will definitely try that next time!

i'm on the large sign to begin with but just have the bloated look at the moment and i'm 18+4 with my first,
my sister who is now about 29 weeks i think had a bump at 18 weeks which is her first too, she really seemed to pop out at her 18 week mark and look 'pregnant' i'm just waiting for me to move from a bit bloated to pregnant :)

My first pg and my bump probably appeared at about 17 weeks, before that just a general chubbiness.
That said because of the clothes I'm wearing so I feel comfortable I don't think the general public would realise I was pregnant at all. Its just when I get naked or am at home in leggings and a tight t-shirt that it becomes obvious!

Totally, I'm 28 weeks now but didn't start showing until very recently (perhaps 24 weeks). Every woman's body is different. Some women carry a lot of water and look larger earlier, others don't. Try not to worry and don't listen to people who say you are too small, if you're not too small you're too big, people will have lots of opinions the main thing is to be calm and healthy. Best of luck xx

I'm tiny, short, small rib cage, and skinny, so I had an obvious bump quite early. There really is nowhere for anything to go other than forwards. My friend is 6ft, wide rib cage, long back, and she hardly had any bump at all when full term. She just got a bit wider and fatter looking. So, I'd say that it is down to your build.

At 12 weeks the baby is 3-4 in long

Yes that seems to be more the norm! I'm the opposite, this is my 1st & I started showing at 11 weeks. I'm now 19 weeks & hate telling new people when my baby's due. The smile drops from their face and this look of shock appears. My bump is huge and there's definitely only one in there.

I’m 15+2 with my 3rd and still have no bump! X
