Am just coming up to 20 week mark with 2nd babe and although I have noticed movements, no earlier this time might I add, even though I thought you were supposed to feel them sooner due to slacker muscles, they are not very frequent or strong.
I think the miserable woman who did my 12 week scan mumbled something about the placenta being on the front wall but I can't remember exactly what she said.
DS1 thrashed about like a mule, especially while I was sitting still like I am now, but not this one.
Has anyone else had this with their 2nd or vice versa?
If yes, were the two babes diff sexes?
:)

My 4th dd2 was much less active than the others. No idea why!Felt 1st movements later too.Could of been because dd2 was under a year old and had two others to look after.Maybe i wasnt concentrating on the bump as much as i had with the others.

Mine were all different and, as you know, the position of the placenta can affect what you feel.

As long as you're feeling movements frequently - I'm not sure how often you should at 20 weeks but someone will be along soon who does know- then I'd say not to worry.

DS will be 9m old on 17th of this month so I am much busier than I was when carrying him obviously.

I'm only just PG with my first but in the enormous amount of reading I've been doing so far, I did see that the baby will get its wriggle boots on if you drink a glass of cold water.....an easy quick thing you can do if you're feeling anxious?!! It also seems that movements vary hugely and almost everyone seems to worry that there aren't enough or that they're not strong enough.
Good luck and I'm sure that everything is fine. x
