When are you going to have your hospital bag packed from? I'm 29 weeks this weekend and have only just thought I guess I'd best start packing it soon! X

I'm 30 weeks and have just started making a list of what I need to pack and gathering some bits together, but i'm a bit of a worrier so I always like to be early and prepared for everything.

Nothing wrong with being prepared! I was in and out with ds and various bleeds so had one packed from 16w which got repacked every stay in hospital throughout hospital

Am currently sat in dau at 24w with pg2 and I seriously wished I'd been more prepared as I suspect the will keep me in just to be safe

i'm 37 and a half weeks and have just started to think about it. I suspect it should have been done sooner but am planning a home birth so finding it hard to find the motivation!

Definately before you go into labour!

I think any time from 35 weeks onwards but if you're as slack as me you'll be sending your DH out from the hospital to but a car seat so that you can take your baby home Grin

Same position as joby here. I'm 35+5 and the bag's still mythical. I'm also planning a home birth but I know I ought to have something ready just in case.

29 weeks tomorrow and had to pack one for myself quickly last night as was admitted having contractions. All ok, but def worth having a decent pair of pyjamas, slippers, toothbrush and lip balm handy (hot hospital and cold outside killed my lips!) And a phone charger and money for hospital car park if required. No point packing for baby at this stage as nothing would fit.

Will probably start prepping an actual labour bag this week. DC1 was a month early s. was glad to be prepared with her.

36 weeks tomorrow and still haven't found my suitcase let alone packed anything - am sure I had it done by now with DD but not quite as organised this time around!!

I'm 35+3 and have started to get stuff together but not actually in a bag yet.

I'm just approaching 35 weeks, and um, I bought some maternity pads? Otherwise I am completely unprepared. I did find all the baby clothes and wash them, though, so I have baby clothes. But not packed anywhere. Not sure where I'd put a hospital bag, tbh - DS1 would find it and unpack it in five seconds flat, especially if I put anything edible inside it.

I'm 33 wks and have mostly done mine - however I was in hospital with early labour pains already a couple of times so it seemed a bit more urgent...!

When your contractions start? Gives you something distracting to do that keeps you active and mobile!

I'm 39 weeks and have started a pile in one corner of the nursery. I'm hoping to tempt baby out by being unprepared!

37 weeks. A mild panic ensued when I realised I'd already had DD1 at this stage and thought better get arse into gear!

Mine is done and packed and in the boot. baby stuff in a separate carrier at the side ready to chuck in on the big day. It's always worth having your own stuff packed ASAP though, as you never know when you might end up at the hospital overnight for monitoring. I'm ready early as previous 2 pregnancies went a bit tits up from 30 weeks onwards, babies arrived on time/late but I had a few hospital stays for various things and it was much nicer to have my own stuff rather than rely on dh's hapless efforts.
