Me again. I'm already turning into the crazy pregnant lady. I didn't show until i was 22 weeks with my first. Just wondering how early people were showing with their second. Had my son 4 years ago so might have tightened my stomach muscles in that time lol.

Early - at around 3 months.

Ellypoo · 24/11/2012 17:49

Have been really bloated from about 6 weeks, in maternity trousers straight after 12 wk scan - would have been earlier if I'd dared!!

sunnysunnyshine · 24/11/2012 17:52

Def earlier. Was really bloated around 8-9 weeks. That went down a bit and now at 21 wks I have a definite bump.

It's been 2.5 yrs since my first pregnancy, not sure if that makes much difference?

MrsBungleBear · 24/11/2012 17:54

Loads earlier. I didn;t show properly until about 25 weeks with DC 1. With DC2 it was more like 12 weeks.

TheCountessOlenska · 24/11/2012 17:54

First pregnancy - around 20 weeks

This time - embarrassingly early! Maybe around 8 weeks, some people guessed before my 12 week scan Blush

LittleMilla · 24/11/2012 18:51

Ah sheeeeeeeeeeeeeet. I posted earlier because I've just found out today that I am pg. Slight problem is that I start a new job on Tuesday and need to make it through my first three months probation period before I can tell them.

I am a midget too. Managed to get to 20 weeks before properly looking pg with DS though?

lollypopsicle · 24/11/2012 20:24

I am sitting here in amazement at the size of my bump at 14+3. It wasn't until about 20wks last time that it was this noticeable. Some work people guessed before my scan this time too.

EMS23 · 24/11/2012 20:26

20 weeks with dd1, 8-10 weeks with DD2. Only had 13 months between birth and getting pregnant though so my tummy muscles were probably still loose.

SchroSawMummyRidingSantaClaus · 24/11/2012 20:30

Little Try doing core/stomach exercises to strengthen the muscles so they hold a bit longer?

I've basically just found out too and am currently trying to get a job. :(

MyFriendGoo · 24/11/2012 20:33

Littlemilla I have a six month probation period in which I'll have to tell the business I'm pregnant ....surely it's unfair dismissal if they did find out and you lost your job (assuming that's what's worrying you!) They would be in trouble if they did...hope I'm not being naive here as I'm in the same boat...

SchroSawMummyRidingSantaClaus · 24/11/2012 20:37

MyFriend You could probably hide it with bump bands and baggy jumpers and holding your stomach in as much as possible when standing. :o

I think though, if they let you go before the probationary period is up there isn't really anything you can do as they could just say you weren't the right candidate.

RubyrooUK · 24/11/2012 20:48

Ok to cheer those of you hoping not to have to confess too early, I am 24 weeks with DS2 and only in the last week, I have gone from "rounded stomach" to bump. But to be honest, with my clothes on, you still can't tell unless you're quite perceptive. I haven't told lots of people where I work because it isn't obvious.

I told my boss after my 12 week scan but didn't tell my direct workmates till 22 weeks. Everyone was shocked and said they hadn't guessed. I already have one DS and most people said they guessed then around 20 weeks (I told them at around the same point in my pregnancy last time too.)

I have put on more weight than last time so it's not that I am less heavy this time but the bump is just a different shape. I was carrying DS1 in my crotch and had to upgrade my trousers at 8 weeks. This time I am still in my normal trousers now as the bump is much higher and has been easier to conceal.

So it isn't always the case that the second pregnancy is much more obvious than the first......although now I have gone from nothing to looking 6 months pregnant in a matter of days. Grin

effyzm · 24/11/2012 21:03

i would just like to hide it until after the 12 week scan. Just to make sure everything is alright. Then i'll be happy to get fat ; )

I had to go maternity trouser shopping at 11wks!Blush Had a very visible bump!

LittleMilla · 24/11/2012 21:52

I'm skinnier now than when I fell pg with DS1. He's 18 mo and whilst I am no supermodel, figure-wise I'm not in bad shape. I've never had a flat tum and I'm sort of hoping that people will assume any bump is a mummy tummy as they don't know what 'normal' is IYSWIM?

Good incentive not to trough on anything and everything I want this time round though!

Ruby interesting about where you carry it. DS was breech and so in an odd position throughout my pg TBH! I don't even 'feel' pg at the moment which is spooking me somewhat?

DeathMetalMum · 25/11/2012 08:49

Very early, was also quite early with dd to.
I went to a toddler group around the time of my first scan and people guessed so around 12 weeks. I am normally very slim however so more difficult to hide a slight change.
