fell down stairs will it affect baby

Hi guys
just fell the entire flight of my stairs at home. Have felt baby move and had no bleeding. Apart from a sore wrist bottom and pain in lower back I'm good. Is it worth bothering the midwife with?

Ouch! Glad to hear it doesn't feel too serious. Don't know how far gone you are but I would suggest a quick trip to the midwife just to ensure you don't end up fretting about it. I'm sure everything's fine. x

If you are rhesus negative (blood type) you need to check with the midwife I think as you may need an anti d injection

I'm 26+5 and blood type is b +. I'm not overly concerned as baby is kicking like mad! Just me worrying.

I fell down the stairs at 17 weeks and hit by back and head quite hard. I went to a&e as I hit my head and they were lovely and didn't make me feel like I was being fussy. They checked me out and the dr said you would basically have to shatter your pelvis to do damage to baby from the back. Always worth checking out but I'm sure everything is absolutely fine Smile

I've fallen down the stairs and down a hill this pregnancy (clumsy!) apart from being a bit sore and stiff the next day I was fine but I did get checked over just in case (to put my worried hormonal mind at ease!)
