I go off meat when I'm pg. DH is most unimpressed.

Shock

I went off chocolate with DD and although I still eat it, I no longer love it as much :(

I've been eating melon. Tons of melon. What's the point in melon? It's just water disguised as fruit. Confused

Melon and vinegar? Going off chocolate is the least of your worries :o

Me too! And cake! Anything sweet makes me heave. Was in tesco a few weeks ago to buy a cake for dh's birthday and just the sight of the boxes made me heave. I usually bake him one but no chance this year!

Melon with vinegar sounds... interesting...

I've gone off chocolate too and ate lots of fruit at the beginning - have yet to progress to melon and vinegar though!

My husband has also been eating some of my vinegary melon too. He says it's actually very nice, but he might just be humouring me. :o

To be fair, strawberries with balsamic vinegar is a tried and tested dessert, so not sure how bad that really is. Hey, at least melon is good for you!! (especially the yellow sorts like cantaloupe: has some of the same good vits that green leafy veg has, so there you go!)

With dd if it had chocolate/sweeties/ was bad for me i ate it, i gained 3 stone! Went size 6/8 to a 16/18

however this time...i only want healthy salad, fruit, pasta & vegetables I've actually lost 2 stone! probably my sickness hasn't helped! also having a girl!
Have gone off meat, anything greasy, sweets & also gravy which is weird.

I seem to have gone off......every single thing my poor partner makes!!

Seriously the poor boy spent ages making dinner on Sunday night. Did I want it? Did I hell...

Then last night I was driving home thinking 'omg I don't want to eat what he's made - how am I going to navigate this two nights in a row...'. Luckily I got home and it was actually really good. But I'm very unpredictable in what I want to eat. I'm NEVER picky but for some reason I have no idea whether I actually want something til it's plonked right in front of me... Blush

I've developed a sweet tooth over the past few months. Normally crisps are my downfall but try to eat healthily - lots of fish, veg, fruit etc. Since being pg I've totally gone off fish and veg is a no-no after 2pm (except runner beans). Hankering for comfort food - faggots, cottage pie, cauliflower cheese...mmmmm. DP is sick to death of it all, I think we're going to have to start eating separately!

I've gone off tea. I normally LOVE tea. Haven't had a hot drink in weeks.

Citrusy I usually drink so much tea I should have shares in Whittards....but since being pregnant it's just not doing it for me. You know that feeling of having been really busy, for me probably gardening, and coming in and thinking 'i need a nice cuppa' and you sit down and it's like satisfying a drug craving.....well I still have that feeling but I get NO satisfaction from drinking the tea at all. I could cry.

I've gone off meat as well. This baby is being entirely built on tinned tomatoes on toast and beetroot pasta.

Oh, and Haribo.
Baby loves Haribo.

I went off cake but love, love, loved macaroni cheese, cheesy wotsits, Dr Pepper and green starbursts (which are usually the food of the devil)

And I seem to have been put off tomatoes for ever, even now that my boys are 6 and 2! Bodies are SO weird and babies are SO amazing!

I totally went off tea with DS but loved diet coke (cans only) and had to ration my intake to 2/3 cans per day or I could easily have guzzled litres of the stuff... I also went off broccoli (even the smell made me heave) & if am honest a bit of fruit or veg barely passed my lips for 9 months. Unless you count tomato sauce? I could have eaten it with a spoon .

This time is the total opposite. Wanted oily fish with salad or steamed veg. Can still drink tea (hurray!), diet coke makes me gag (saving loads of dosh which am spending on..) chocolate with everything!

See I've never really been fussed about chocolate (could have it in the cupboard for months and not be tempted at all), but now I'm pregnant I'm a complete addict. Actually it's to anything sweet, this baby will come out as baby-shaped loaf sugar!

Went violently off the smell of any smoked food in the first trimester; poor DH was devastated as we'd just been on a course to learn how to smoke food and he'd bought himself a fancy smoker.

I did several weeks where my tongue couldn't taste sweet and all I wanted was sour. Sour snakes or tangfastics - I ate bags. The gestational diabetes has put an end to that Sad

Queen, I'm the same! I want the satisfaction of a cup of tea but just can't face the tea itself.

Bigboy- the only thing I really drink at the mo is caffeine free diet
Coke. Or regular diet coke if I'm out. Pepsi is no good, had Pepsi max the other day and it just tasted nasty.

I'm also craving jelly- freezing cold only- that makes the little one wriggle like mad. As did sherbet lemons- that WAS entertaining!
