Strength of lines on pregnancy tests

Just looking for some advice really. I have only been getting +ve pg test since Tuesday but I am spending a fortune on them because I am so paranoid that something has/is going wrong. I had a mc in July and I've been having a little bit of brown spotting/discharge so I think this is why I am so worried.

Anyway, before Tuesday's +ve, I last tested on Saturday and got a -ve so it's only recently that the +ves have started. Every time I test using a CB digital, I get 'pregnant 1-2weeks'. With FR, I've had quite a strong line. I used a tesco own brand tonight (you get two for £3.50) and the line was definitely there but not particularly strong.

Do you think this is a sign that something is wrong? I think I am probably just being stupid because when I was pg back in July, the first tests I took were exactly the same but I think then I didn't test again for about a week whereas now I am testing twice a day to try and stop worrying...but it's just making me worry more.

Ok. As someone who peed on no less than 11 sticks....
Put. The. Sticks. Down!

Tonight's probably looked fainter because it's a different test brand and because it's an evening wee so less concentrated. Given your history - sorry for your loss by the way - get yourself to your GP practice and get under the care of a midwife. Mine was lovely - I'm clearly a bit nervous from all the stick peeing! Due to long term TTC - age says I could see weekly if I wanted for reassurance.

Remember - Pregnant until proven otherwise! congratulations :)

Thank you! Last time I was pg, once I had a line (even though it was almost invisible) I was celebrating. Now, I'm convinced it's going to go wrong!

It's totally understandable that you're nervous but just because it happened before doesn't mean it will happen again. Right now, you're pregnant! :)

Would you consider a 'pregnant after MC' thread? They look great for mutual support and hand holding?

Yes I'm on those and they do really help but I can't stop worrying Sad I just want to stop worrying and enjoy being pg

Give yourself time. We had a missed miscarriage last November and were very fortunate in falling pregnant again in February this year. Whilst being both delighted and relieved I was consumed with overwhelming feelings of every other description, including guilt. And when I thought of my baby, honestly, I didn't think about the baby I was carrying I thought about the baby we had lost. And then almost over night, but at week 16, I felt ready to move on and realised I was living in the present and future, rather than the past. You will enjoy being pregnant, I am sure you will. Don't put pressure on yourself and give yourself the time you need. I really hope it all goes well for you.

Only 11, Faithy?! I've got a whole box of piss sticks Grin

OP, your fears are completely normal - I was the same (I'm 20 wks along after several MCs), but honestly, just try to take it day by day.

And request reassurance scans if that's what you need!

Thank you. I'm going to try and be positive. There's no reason why this pg shouldn't work so I'm going to take it a day at a time.

I had similar panic after lines were faint on pee stick & then to add to the horror, disappeared whereas all my friends sticks kept the line there for ages. I eventually went for private scan at 7w5d (£80 well spent!) as i was convinced i had had another miscarriage. Seems a bit laughable now as I am 17w & bubba doing very well but after a previous miscarriage myself I totally know how you are feeling. I don't think I entirely relax until I have baby safely in my arms!

Woody, I've been there, am now pg after a late mc. Just wanted to add the the posters above who I totally agree with. No amount of worry will help you. POASing doesn't fix the worry, if it did you wouldn't need to keep poasing. Your worry also won't stop anything from happening. Just look after yourself for now. Rest, good food, lots of kindness. (And yes, I am totally going for an early scan like Leannac).
