Pregnancy

where to buy v. smart pregnancy clothes

I have a chance to go to Buckingham Palace as a guest of someone and would like to do so. However, I will be 6 months pregnant by then. I have only worn jogging bottoms for the last 5 months and am thinking this won't be the right look. Where can I buy some smart, stylish, maternity clothes to look good on the day and give myself a boost after being ill for the last 3-4 weeks? Maybe a hat too.

Formes? I really wouldn't bother buying anything far in advance though, as you just don't know what shape you will be - whether you'll have a small hardly noticeable bump, or a huge one!!!

www.vertbaudet.co.uk have some nice stuff this season, affordable too, don't know whether it's smart enough for what you have in mind, though.

if you have time/money/inclination to be looked at by shop assistants like you dont really belong (or is that just me?? ) Walton Street in Knightsbridge have a number of posh pg clothing stores where you can get said snotty assitants to bring you stuff to try on then walk out without buying any of it hehehe
theres a Formes round the corner too (snottiest assistants of all IMO!)

the Mama SPANX tights i think i referred to are the ones recommended by A-list pg ladies, BTW

Also - near Formes in south kensington at 78 Fulham Road, five minute walk is a shop that sells lingerie and upstairs maternity wear (great expectations).

They had the most divine bootleg maternity trousers - same price as Formes , but better quality and bigger sizes. Yes with second pregnancy couldn't fit into Formes anymore. Very unusual selection of clothes and personal service.
