I know I'm only coming up to 5 weeks but I am so concerned that I'm not having any pregnancy symptoms.
Only one of my boobs feels a bit tender now and thats all I have (as daft as that sounds)

I cant help but think somethings not right. I can't sleep I'm that anxious.

I did call the Midwife this morning who is lovely but she couldn't really say or do anything to help as it's so early apart from doing another pg test to see if the line comes up stronger.

I'm going out of my mind

I was the same at around 8 weeks - HAD been feeling queasy but that stopped and was convinced that it had all gone horribly wrong.

"It" was fine and is now 4!

Juest remember there are hundresn of women who don't even ralise they are pregnant as they don't have any symptoms!

Thanks.

I know, I keep telling myself these things but it's just niggling me for some reason.
I don't understand it as I was so chilled out when I had dd.

NBG, I felt just the same when I got pg with ds (until the morning sickness kicked in anyway ) - just got soooo much more anxious. In fact I really didn't relax until my first scan (was convinced I was going to be told "why did you even think you were pregnant?" ). Sorry that probably doesn't make you feel better to know that - just trying to say in my clumsy way - it is normal

Had almost no symptoms at all throughout. Slightly tender norks at the beginning (before missed period), felt sick once (at about 8 weeks), was sometimes more tired than normal but it was hard to tell if that wasn't just from work.
ds is now coming up to 7 months.
All the best to you I was a nervous wreck until the third trimester so I know how you feel!

Thank you

I'm going to take dd to her music class in a few minutes and I think I'll get another test while I'm out. I'm also going out for a meal with the mums from playgroup tonight so that might chill me out a bit.

I had a pretty uneventful 6 weeks and then, 3 months of constant nausea, so enjoy the peace before the storm hits.

I never had any either, on any pregnancy. Ive always been a bit bemused by other people's descriptions of early pg symptoms.

I was the same, with ds2 i did a test and it was positive, went to the doctors and arranged the miwife to come round for a booking appointment, she did the listening to the heart beat thing and couldnt hear one (cause i wasnt far enough along, dont have periods so we couldnt work out my dates) I had no other symptoms so convinced myself something was wrong and ran off to the shops to get another test, which of course was positive. Was convinced for ages that there was something wrong as i didnt have any symptoms, in the end had a scan which confirmed i was only very early pregnant.

This is my 3rd pg, first 2 were horrendous, I knew straight away I was pg, had ALL the possible symptoms, but this time, I didn't even know I was pg until around 12wks. Havent had any symptoms, felt slightly nauseous for a week or so, but thought this was a stomach bug. Feel slightly cheated but equally glad that this time I don't feel pg at all.

Im going through the same feelings! Done three pg tests last week to confirm. Up untill this tuesday have been feeling knackered and sick...then it just disapeared!
Had the mw out yesterday to do my booking, she felt my stomach but said she couldnt feel the fundus( so i must be under 12 weeks!) Then the mw with her said, " oh symptoms usually disappear at 12 weeks" which left me confused! (Havent a clue how far gone i am as i have pco, so no regular af)
Being sent for a dateing scan on mon, but im still convinced everythings disappeared from inside!
With my other 3 pg, i had major nausea, painful boobs, and was falling asleep all the time!

Tamba how far gone was you when you had your scan???

I think i was only about 4 weeks and they had to do an internal scan which only showed a sac or something, so i had to go back at 7 weeks for another internal scan and then one at 10 weeks i think. Everything was fine it was just very early on

NBG - congrats and good luck with the test.

This is my 3rd pg - I had mild nausea with ds1, worse with ds2 and mild again with this pg. Have worried on and off like you - but I had early scan on Weds and now have picture of small bean with strong heartbeat, at 7wks and 4 days.

I thought when I got pg with ds2 that I would have less symptoms because my body would be used to the hormones from first time round. Wrong there. So this time round expecting even worse symptoms. Wrong again! You just can't predict, hormones do there own thing...

that'll be 'do their own thing'

Thanks everyone. This is quite reassuring.

I've done another test and the dots come up a bit stronger but not loads different to the other one.

I'll just have to find a way to relax. Maybe I'll get the highway code out again and make a real effort in to passing my test!
