At consultant apt last Friday they did routine urine test,I had protein & leu present so were sending it to be tested. I went to gp yesterday as I'm feeling red raw down there. Itchy, swollen & with some cramping & discomfort. I'm 34.5 so expect some cramping! He basically gave me dermol cream to soothe & wants me to do another urine test today to be sent off. I just had to get up & put ice water on it! I don't feel sick, unwell but could bloody rip my bits off!! There isn't discharge & it's not cystitisy pain iykwim.
Any ideas????

I'd ring your mw or the day assessment unit and asked to be checked out IMO. UTI's are not something to be mucked about with. Even if it's not hopefully they can sort you out!

Are you weeing frequently?
Any pains?
Could it be thrush?

I'd push to get it sorted though, there is nothing worse than being uncomfortable down there IMO.

Hope you're ok.

Have you been swabbed at all? I'd go to the assessment unit. Might be UTI, might be vaginosis, might be thrush - or might be unrelated and on top of a UTI.

The leukos and protein hint at a UTI, but the red rawness and soreness might be something else. I've been suffering from both (UTI and being raw) for a few weeks now and the latter is down to water retention and chafing in my case, but you need to get it checked out. If it's any kind of infection it needs to be treated pdq.

Hi,thanks for the replies.
Im able to pee as usual but stings, not in a cystitis way more because it's so sore, there is no relief.
I don't know what to do with myself, will call the mw once she starts.
