I'd say you are worrying unnecessarily. If you are still getting all signs of pregnancy, relax. The pains are probably things being stretched to accommodate the growing baby.

May well be uterus stretching pains, cramps. This whole pregnancy thing is one big worry to be honest, well it seems to be for me, this is my third and it hasn't got any easier.
Word of warning though, from your post I get the impression you are expecting something from your first appointment, it is quite a boring one so don't be dissapointed if you feel deflated afterwards. It is normal for this appointment to be a let down.
But do ask your midwife about the pains if only for reassurance.

Hope all goes well on friday.

I was the same during the first trimester. I went to the docs twice thinking something was wrong. The first time it was my body stretching, second time was due to constipation Blush much to my OH's amusement, he thought it was hilarious all I needed was the loo lol. I had made him take me to the emergency docs too lol.

I'm 20 weeks with my first and you still get weird pains, along with strange sensations when baby moves. Just remember your body is streching like it never has had to before, so a few pains are part of it all.

Always remember if you feel worried to get it checked out, no matter how daft you feel. Its better to be safe than sorry

Good luck for Friday

Have you got a pregnancy book?? I've got 'what to expect...' and literally I've spot a funny symptom.. worry about it and then read the next chapter that night.. hey presto it will mention it.

This has happened at least 3 times.. the first was (sorry) discharge, then light cramps as my uterus expands and I think the other time was when my mouth tasted horrid.

It's written as a question and answer book and there must be EVERY question in there you've ever thought of.. all your irrational ones and a few more!

I highly recommend (although of course you can just post on here!!)
