Consultant appointment at 15 weeks?

I have had 2 previous sections and am now pregnant with baby number 3.

I have been given an appointment with my consultant for 15 weeks. I'm sure I didn't see him in my last pregnancy until 30+ weeks.

Does anyone know- what will this appointment be for? Thanks.

I've had a similar appt recently and it wasn't the most productive one really. Had the usual checks done by a midwife and then a chat with a doctor about possible delivery choice but no CS dates given here until about 36 weeks. Last time my first consultant appt wasn't until 28 weeks so was surprised to have one early (I was 17 weeks) but it wasn't anything different.

I had one at 12 weeks after scan. It was utterly pointless.
He didn't have my notes from last time and all he dud was spout the generic vbac statistics. Nothing about why I had to have emcs last time and the likelihood of a repeat performance. He also couldn't/ wouldn't book an elcs.
Quite an expensive way for the nhs to hand out leaflets! Hmm

Had another at 36weeks.
Exact transcript...
Him- have you thought about how you'd like to give birth?
Me- yes I'd like a elcs
Him- right we'll get a mw to book you in. (signs form)

Job done!

Yes I remember that exact conversation at 35 weeks with my consultant last time, soppy!

Thanks for your replies ladies, perhaps I should cancel it then if it is a complete waste of time as I will have to come out of work to go, and the hospital is an hour's drive away from work.

I think with my last pregnancy i had a 16wk appointment with my consultant. I don't see a midwife due to being high risk. The appointment was mainly to discuss extra scans, blood tests & if i wanted to have my tube clipped (or whatever its called) during my c-section, which was my 4th c-section.
