I'm starting to get so nervous and freaked out about going into labour. I've had early labour pains the past couple days which is making me more scared as i know it really could be any minute now. is anyone else feeling like this?

Try some hypnobirthing cds - if you can get hold of them. And listen to them loads whilst resting.

I did this and was utterly convinced it wouldnt hurt and it really helped me start labour calmly.

You have to be "into" that kind of thing for it to work though.

It will be fine though- before you know it you will be in labour and you will cope with it. Millions of people do and the pride of doing it is overwhelming

good luck!

I think nervous and freaked out is normal! I am too - but at the prospect of a CS (baby is stubbornly breech). I spent far too much time early on worrying about labour but now am actually quite gutted that I probably won't get the chance to experience it at all. I am trying to keep in mind that birth is just the beginning and that after whatever horrors await I'll have the baby which will make it all worth it (though last night me and DP did look at each other and go, 'why did we decide to have a baby again?!' - I'm terrified and hardly sleeping, the house is a tip, we are sooo not ready - but I know deep down it will be OK in the end as long as the baby is alright, which of course is yet another thing to worry about...!). It sounds like things are going well for you and that your body's doing a good job of getting ready - hope it all goes smoothly and that you enjoy those first cuddles with your new baby Smile

Hi preggos. How much longer have u got? i was soo nervous and worried but as it gets closer I'm more resigned to the fact that it must happen and I will have to cope (this is 3rd so I know what to expect). I have also 'planned' to have an epidural as soon as labour established... so i know i will be ok, and if i can manage without i will. I remind myself that you dont deserve your baby more if u go thro agony to get it...altho i know that many dont agree! ;-)
