I am now 19 weeks pregnant and after expecting my hair to become thick and gorgeous it is in fact falling out more than usual!!!!

It did the same when I came off the pill and blood tests showed no reason for it.

Is anyone else losing more hair than usual or should i be worried?

I am sure that is all it is but my first time irrational pregnant brain insists on keeping me in a constant state of panic!

I was the same with my first pregnancy, sorry for this but it got really bad when he arrived and I was BF, I had bald patches on my temples! Sad
This time I have gorgeous hair so far!! Everyone keeps commenting on my lovely hair, ha ha! Grin I hope it doesn't drop out again when I am BF.
The plus side is that when DS was about 4 months, it started growing back and my hair (even before I was pg) was nicer than before, I always had these weird frizzy side bits, which are the bits that fell out and they grew back nicer.
Don't worry too much, it won't be forever, get some good thickening shampoo and conditioner and unfortunately (especially if it's around your hairline like mine) there isn't a lot else you can do except wait.

You will worry till the second your baby is born and then it just gets worse once there born haha. Just think of this as a practice before you start worrying about really crazy things like if babys poo is a funny colour/texture/smell :)

Congratulations. X

It is so silly as i heard the heart beat loud and clear on Tuesday so it must still be alive and kicking in there! I will try not to worry and mention at my next scan a week on Tuesday. There are such mixed messages on he Internet, some say it is normal and others say it is very unusual. I will try not to worry, I don'tmind it all falling out as long as the baby is healthy, I can always buy a wig :)
