Help analysing my notes please!

Just come out of hosp after a bout of hyperemesis. Reading my notes and not concerned, just curious.

At the top, the doc has written 33 yr female, Gz Pi. The first part I get, what's gz pi?

A bit further down, he's written what looks like JALLOLD in caps, which I assume is shorthand for several tests as they are all marked negative except for the D.

Anyone tell me what this means? TIA.

Hi, I may be way off, but when I saw the mid-wife, she wrote in my notes G1 P0, which she explained to me as meaning it was my first ever conception - no previous pregnancies.

I'm wondering if the z is actually a 2 and the i is a 1? Perhaps it means it's your second pregnancy?? As I said, I may be way off...

As for JALLOLD - I have no idea.

The "G" stands for gravida, ie how many times you've been pregnant, so is followed by a number. If you've been pregnant twice then it will be G2.

Similarly "P" stands for Para, ie how many times you've given birth. So sounds like P1.

The other initials are probably JACCOL, would that fit? It's a shorthand way that docs write in the notes to quickly say they've excluded certain physical signs. Eg J is Jaundice, A anaemia, C cyanosis etc. Much easier than writing it all out every time you see a patient.

Hope this helps!!
