Aquanatal - when to start?

Hi, im 16+3 and picked up a leaflet about aquanatal the other day, id really like to do it and it says you can start at 15 weeks but when did you?

Its my 1st pregnancy, i have no bump whatsoever, have put no weight on (insisted that the MW listen to the heartbeat to make sure there was actually something in there) and feel a bit of a fraud Blush
Do i wait until i start putting weight on on just be brave and go for it?

Thanks Smile

I started a few weeks ago at 17 weeks. It's brilliant, just the kind of exercise I fancy. I'm the smallest bumped person there, but not by much. And lots of the women say they wished they'd started earlier.

I say go for it.

I started last week at 17 weeks. Didnt think I'd enjoy it but have really taken to it.

There was a girl in my group who I assumed was there to support her friend as she was tiny with a flat tummy but she was actually 20 wks!

Go on and give it a try, its lovely to do the floating bits and might also give you ideas re a water birth....not in the swimming pool though, they tend to frown on that, he he!

Enjoy!

Don't wait, it is fun, and great to get the exercise with other preggo women. I went to aquanatal before I got a bump and went on to go every week until the day before giving birth. Very very helpful. I went to one that was lead by a midwife too and that was the best of all.

Enjoy!

Go!

I was in hospital from weeks 9-15 and could not wait to exercise again (see my username!) and was horrfied how unfit 6 weeks in bed had left me.

I went to Aquanatal and Pregnancy Pilates from about 17 weeks and loved them both. I think they did me good, and I enjoyed hanging out with other pg ladies for an hour a couple of times a week.

I had no bump to speak of until about 22 weeks. I have a bigger tummy now, and DS is 2y4m. Make the most of having the time and freedom to do these things!
