Ow! 35 weeks, got lower abdominal pain - baby engaging?

Getting bh type pains in lower abdomen, bit stabby. Maybe baby's head engaging? I know I have done this before so should remember - but still, it hurts!

(and a tiny part of me is worrying that it is related to me slipping on the ice today - though really don't think it is. I fell sideways on my arm and my leg - yes, that hurts too. Sad Poor me.)

Anyone else getting these pains? Please reassure me. Have told dh (who is now home for holidays) that it is a sign I need to rest. Wink

i'm 34/35 weeks and getting a lot of downward pains. I feel like DD2 is trying to escape early. I think it's a normal side effect of late pregnancy as they run out of room. This might be worse with subsequent babes as they don't commit to engaging they just bob around in already stretched muscles. I don't think that having the inside of your cervix head butted repeatedly is pleasant.

I definitely feel that number 2 is able to stretch more and cause me more mischief. I'm also getting more braxton hicks than i did last time.

At 35 weeks gone after a fall on the ice I think rest and some tlc is definitely the way to go.

Yes, I found some old threads (under my old name) from number 2 where I said I had loads more BH than before. Slimyak, that's exactly the kind of pain I am having too.

Thanks both of you, here's to a restful evening (just ordered a takeaway and dh is clearing up...)

Aw well that just screwed up. Cancelled takeaway after 2 hours, just finished a fishfinger sandwich. Dh gone off in strop because I was miffed he put butter in it (and yes, I know I ought to have been pathetically grateful to him for making me dinner).

So about to go to bed in pain and a foul mood. Great. And presumably ds will be awake again at 4am. Oh happy days!
