Anyone feel movements *later* with 2nd pregnancy?

Starting to feel a bit despondant...currently 17.5 weeks with DC 2. Had positive 8wk and 12wk scans, and midwife heard the heartbeat at 15wks. But now it just feels like nothing. Sad

I felt movements at 18wks with DC1, really thought I'd have felt something by now? Placenta is not at the front, at least it wasn't at scan.

Is it always earlier that you feel movements with subsequent pregnancies?

I felt DD at 18 weeks then DS at 14/15. But this time I really couldn't tell if it was wind or baby. I have only felt definite movements this week (18) and even now it's not often at all, and is only just noticeable. I'm thinking there must be a number of factors, amount of fluid, size of baby and which way baby is facing - would have thought if they are kicking towards your spine you're less likely to feel it???

I felt first 2 at about 18 1/2 weeks but with 2nd baby placenta was at the front

I did start feeling this one sooner though, from about 12 weeks which was a bit weird!!
Don't panic I am sure you will start feeling something soon

Oh thanks all so much. I guess the placenta grows along with the baby and could be bigger/in a different place now?
3-4 weeks till my next scan seems like a lifetime!
I did wonder if it was because everything is probably a bit...errr...saggier this time round?!

I'm pregnant with number 5, 19+5, just had a scan yesterday which shows a healthy kicking baby. I've had no kicks whatsoever! I occasionally feel squirming but have an anterior placenta which explains it according to sonographer.

I had the same with DC4, no definite kicks until about 21 weeks and even then not much. She was fine.

Please try not to worry, I did in my last pregnancy and all for nothing, this time I am much more relaxed.

I remember feeling DD at some point whilst 17 weeks, and it was the classic "fluttering / bubbles" as it's always described.

I'm now 17+4, and so looking forward to feeling this baby!! I've been feeling some tiny little flicks quite low down, but nothing absolutely definite, and no ruddy fluttering. I'm not anxious, just impatient - this is what I've been so looking forward to!

My consolation is that I definitely have a bump now, and can rub it smugly with enormous satisfaction.
