Link between hairiness and gender of baby?

I am still trying to guess the gender of our now overdue baby - just to entertain myself.

I have become v hairy - hairier than normal - this pregnancy. All the old wives tales seem to suggest this means I am having a boy. I don;t mean hairs on my head - I mean legs, pubes, chin (!) and belly etc.

Anyone got extra hairy in pregnancy and then had a girl?

Nope - fewer hairs in 2 pregnancies then 2 girls, then hairier with pg 3, then a boy.

Having said that, I was hairier with pg 4 and supposed to be habing a boy - but now it seems I've stopped growing leg hair all of a sudden - so not sure what that means... Confused

I shaved my legs far less when I was pregnant with DD. Similar lack of defuzzing with this pregnancy (sex unknown).

However, slightly hairy belly both times Blush, or maybe the hairs are just easier to spot!

I'm hairier and having a boy! I actually have a beard! Leg hair did slow down slightly at about 18 weeks, but it's making up for it now! thank god its winter and think tights are fashionable!!

I've also gone off coffee totally and I was a major coffee drinker. This is what convinced my mum it was a boy as she was the same with my younger brother, but not me or my sister.

Have you done chinese gender preditctor thingy? Most of the online ones were right for me and my friends.

Good luck when the time comes and let us know what flavour you get Xmas Grin

I didn't have to shave my legs for 4 months when I was pg (it was during the winter in my defence, I wasn't a heathen)

Had a girl.

Yes, let us know! Hopefully we you won't have to wait too long. Good luck Grin

I've been wondering this - my leg hair has stopped growing, but my tummy has lots of fine blonde hairs which I don't remember having before! I only got to 34 weeks with my twin girls, but don't think I was hairy last time. Am 39+2 and desperate to find out what we are having. Did the wedding ring test and the Chinese prediction test and both came out boy.....

I was practically furry when I was expecting DD. Not as bad this time, still a bit fuzzy but I won't know the sex until the baby arrives so I can't help you there! Ooh, I haven't done the wedding ring test yet Grin I love all those old wives' tales... The Chinese thing was dead wrong about DD though.

I've been wondering this too, last time round was extra hairy, had a boy. This time much less hairy, virtually no need to shave / wax... haven't found out what we're having but has generally been such a drastically different pregnancy so far (hyperemesis for first 4 months, but now feeling amazing - with DS I had normal morning sickness, then general aches and pains / heartburn / high blood pressure the whole way through), and my bump is so much neater this time that I'm thinking possibly girl.

The hair under my arms stopped growing completely when I was pregnant with DS, only started again recently.... very strange.

Sorry, that doesn't help at all.

Do they say the neater the bump a girl? Or the neater the bump a boy? Can't remember??

I am (was) a lot hairier than normal and I am 28 weeks with a boy. I was shaving my legs every day and still having regrowth but the last few weeks that seems to have stopped and although I still have the fine blonde hairs on my belly, I shaved my legs two days ago and cannot feel anything growing through yet.

My hair hasn't been coming out as much when I wash it either.
