I saw on a thread last night about someone who put an extra duvet under their sheet so they were more comfortable to sleep. Typically I can't find it now though but I thought lets do a thread with tips to make us more comfortable or just make life easier for us.

Mine are sleep with socks on if suffering with leg cramps at night as I found I got worse cramps if my feet got cold.

Don't bother buying maternity knickers just buy a bigger size of normal ones.

Don't bother buying disposible pants for after delivery. Just buy a pack of the cheapest you can find and bin them afterwards.

Don't bother buying maternity bras. Either get nursing bras or just regular unwired bras.

you dont need to buy maternity leggings, just a couple of sizes up,save you a few bob,and bigger t-shirts,and you can use them for bed later on.

Primark extra long t-shirts, in a size bigger than usual, are great for helping keep the bump warm and covered!

For those of you suffering with pregnancy induced acne (I know I am...) Sudocream seems to really help!

Also an exercise ball if really useful, especially if you have a desk job - more comfortable and also helps with positioning the baby.

wayoftheworld have you tried using a site like Weight Loss resources? I've used them successfully in the past (though not while pregnant) - you can put your own calorie allowance in, and then you log all your food, exercise etc. Best for pregnancy is it gives you a nutritional daily/weekly/meal by meal breakdown of what you are eating.

They have quite good 'chat' too!

Thanks Mojo will go and check it out right now- thanks. I am still trying to go to the gym and think I should carry on as long as I can cope with it, but do need help with the food side of preg. Never quite sure how to cope with cravings...

way of the world ask your doctor if its okay to do slimming world? as apparently its okay to do while pregnant, as long as you check it with your gp/midwife?

don't eat any junk food, deserts or processed foods. don't drink any sodas or alcohol. monitor your daily caloric intake. stay hydrated. excercise daily. take care of your appearance (clothes, hair, nails, etc)... you will look and feel much better.

Size 16 geroge/asda leggings sit on my bump far better than maternity ones - I was size 12 pre-preg and I'm now 35 weeks.
